Whats really funny is this coming from a member with the name "Honda Marketing":rofl::rofl: Not real good marketing if you ask me:dunno::dunno:
Definitely not good marketing. I blame those greedy Honda dealers. I don't get any discounts, no special treatment, and I have to wait in line just like everyone else. It is my hard earned money so I buy the M2 instead.

Yup. Very good value on M2 with msrp. Same goes CTR. I was considering order a 2017 bare bone M2 but back then they don't have allocation . It was around $49K with my USAA and BMW CCA discount.

Apologies if this was discussed before, yesterday I called a dealer to see what they were asking for the ctr, salesperson said honda said they can no longer ask for anything over msrp, but they can take offers, any truth to this?

I work at the dealer and all I can say is Honda frowns upon Dealers marking up Inventory. True, customers can make whatever offer they like.

"we are selling for MSRP, make an offer"
"I offer MSRP"
"Im sorry sir, that offer is not good enough, we have an offer higher than that"

I was chatting with my salesman while getting an oil change this weekend and he mentioned that they have no one in line for their second allocation of a 2018, so I put myself first for that one. MSRP, but who knows when it will be arriving. I'm in no hurry and want to take a long, good look at the car.

Unfortunately, any dealer can take offers but they don't have to accept. Much to the way they do silent auctions.

I had that exact experience last night. I was so annoyed.
