Not even a drop of regret, zero nada nothing. I've gone shopping in it, football practices, cars shows, meet ups and cruises. All in 10 days of ownership.

That "drive forever" line is rather authentic

Yeah moving the chair closer definitely helped out a lot, I can easily press the clutch and have more control over it. At the moment, what works for me is letting the clutch out to the biting point, starting to roll and then adding small amount of gas as letting go of the clutch.

The problem I'm having the most is in parking lots, driving very slowly, when parking I can't seem to figure out when is the best time to shift to neutral and roll or stay in gear and press in the clutch.
Try to drive your car everyday for the next month and you will be just fine with the clutch. It takes a few weeks and then it will all click. Driving a manual transmission vehicle and working the clutch is muscle memory.

I wouldn't call it unsecured. It does take a lot of space but the jack fits inside.

No concern with an accident causing it to break free and go hurdling around the car? I mean, it's not a bad idea, but I'd seriously be a little concerned about that.

Nowadays the airbags kill ya.. i can live with a wheel in the back . The seats block it.. if you got in a bad enough accident where that would fly and hit you i think you will have worse things to worry about

Thanks for calling this out. Spare tires are usually screwed into the frame to secure them. The elastic cargo net with plastic clips only stops it from sliding around the trunk. It would do nothing in a severe crash or rollover.

So I thought of a better way to secure it with ratcheting tie downs. The rope isn't too tight so it doesn't put too much tension on the anchors but the tire isn't going anywhere. The red (same color as the car) anchors toward the bottom of the picture just out of view are welded to the frame. The car seat tether hooks are probably stronger than the hooks for the cargo net but would prevent the seats from folding down.

Again, jack goes inside tire. I would be afraid of this the most in case of a crash.

In rally cars, we always put the tie-downs over the tire, as the rim spoke slices through the tie-down in a roll-over.

However, isn't there a captive nut for the spare tire? My car is at the dealer so I can't look myself, but that would seem safest to me.

Very creative.

This may seem strange, but I was cross shopping an S2000 CR at the same time I was trying to hunt down a CTR. I told myself if I was unable to find a first wave CTR at MRSP I would wait it out and try to find the right CR.

It was a combination of unavailable CRs and me finding a CW for MSRP that made my decision at the time easy. The hype of the CTR just made the decision easier.

But as a single guy who has never owned a sedan/hatchback and has no real need for the extra space, I do wish I had waited it out. I miss my old S2000 and I honestly may never find the right CR.

I will be going to Tail of the Dragon event next month with the S2ki group, I think I will decide after that if I want to sell my CTR and either resume my search for a CR or just buy an AP2 and mod it.

I just took home a CW CTR this weekend, and already having remorse. I was looking at two different vehicles and feel like I should have chosen the other. I didn't get to spend much time in the Civic and I thought it was the more economical choice for me.

Thinking about listing the CTR on Ebay and perhaps AutoTrader. Hopefully I can get back most of what I paid. It has 128 miles and I don't plan to put much more on over the new few weeks. If anyone on here is interested, shoot me a PM.

Dear real owner who should’ve owned this CTR out-of-the-box,

I’m sorry for your loss.

In all seriousness, buying a CTR because it was the “more economical choice?” Sorry I don’t buy that. You buy a Civic LX because it’s the more economical choice, not a CTR.

Sounds to me like the divorce papers made their way to your desk as you pulled into your driveway.
