Honda shouldn't be shipping additional cars to any dealership that still has one sitting on the lot, period.
I agree but they should also allow a customer to walk into a dealer and order a Type R at MSRP. That's how Honda should have handled it to begin with. What's going to end up happening is ADM's will sit on the lot and Honda will keep building and dropping off because of "Demand".

Seriously, the profit the damn dealer selling above ADM is probably more than Honda makes on each type R! Invoice is $31k and they already make $3k plus $15k ADM.. almost $8k to $18k profit per car for those GREEDY Dealer. Honda should create a website and let people preorder @ MSRP and wait for it to be built. I guess at the DEALER / OWNER Meeting, all those dealer demand the other way... GREED

both fairfax honda and landmark has had 2 cars sitting on their lots for over a couple weeks now. Like it didn't sell then with ADM sure isn't going to sell with ADM in the future.
I know Fairfax has two on the lot. I have not seen the ones at Landmark. Honda inventory website says the two are still in transit. My bus passes by Landmark and I'm checking daily. The last time I stopped by Landmark, they were asking for $20K above MSRP. Their 1st sold for $25K over with the proceeds going to charity. At least that's what their facebook page says.

Yeh I made the mistake of contacting landmark... won't tell me the price and keeps asking me to come in to discuss price. Ofcourse they've been going in to junk.

That's absurd. The Type R is the mass produced R version it has always been. It's not limited ppl

surprises me how hard it is to make a deal in socal even if you are willing to pay ADM. Called another local place and they wanted 52k for the one in transit. sigh

They don't have the car yet, so they're in a position to ask a high price. They have time on their side.

They still messing with you? I thought you were going to get a STI. Some places are going at invoice for a Limited trim.

I'm looking at '17 STI's yeah. I haven't found a limited one for invoice yet but some places I spoke to had some pretty good prices. I'm assuming since the '18s are out.
But a part of me deep down inside is telling me to just wait or i'll regret it lol... so I haven't been able to fully pull the trigger on one yet...

Hoping another one pops up at like 4-5k ADM like the one CW recently and I can pick one up.
