I know this post has been around. I was just curious, can you use the tuners on other civics or does it only work with the first car it's used on? I know this is a really stupid question, but I was curious because I am not willing to pay $700 usd for a tuner.

You can only use it on one car a time. it will lock onto your VIN number. For you to use it on another car. You have to unlock the VIN off the unit, which will also return the car back to factory
$700 for 50 tq gain.. you aren't going tget that with a $700 exhaust or $150-300 intake.
it's the best bang for your buck and the only power mod you need on the stock turbo

You may can save some money on a used unit but they hold their value VERY well.

they will try to blame any engine issues on the Tune, but they need to prove that your tune is the cause of the problem. this has been disused time and time again on here.

np. in the end it's up to you. tho there are a few running some very aggressive tunes and no issues :) I've been tuned since before my first oil change and I have 27k on my CVT now.

I'm assuming you went with the 6psi tune?

me too

both platforms are good in each way and have good support
Yup, I remember. You were in on the early public testing and we couldn't get boost to hold at the time. Offered you a refund. Wish you'd have stuck around for the final, but I understand.
