Suddenly my moonroof/sunroof won't open. Neither will my front passenger window.

This definitely happens when the car is started remotely, but you haven't hit the actual "Start" button yet as well.

Has anyone else experienced an issue with the front passenger window moving up/down much slower than all other windows?
It pretty well started that way, and then the driver's side ended up having the same problem. When I had it into the dealership for my last oil change, I mentioned it, and they lubricated. Seems to be in much better shape now.

Wtf??? Turning car off and back on doesn't fix it. Only 6800 miles... never had an issue before. Ugh. Is this under warranty?
This happened all the time in my 2006 Mazda6.

With the Mazda it had to do with resetting the window control module. To fix the problem you had to put the car into ACC mode and put the front driver's side window all the way down and hold it for 5 seconds, then put it all the way up and hold for 5 seconds. This would reset the computer. Sometimes you had to repeat the process on the front passenger window too.

I will look into a similar fix for the Honda.

When this issue happens, reach over to the passenger window, and bring the window down. This fixed the issue for me, sunroof works and drivers control too. Just a weird bug with an easy fix.

It was never that easy in the Mazda but I'm glad there is an easy fix. Thank you!

Have the passenger window issue. Won't go down when I push down on switch. Have to lift up on switch and then push down. Told dealer and they have never got back to me. Time to push harder.

Bringing up an old thread. Just had this problem moments ago with my 2016 Touring coupe...your fix worked. Thanks! You saved me some time checking out fuses.

I just started having this issue today. Moonroof and front passenger window won't work. All other windows work. Window lock is not on. I even tried the switch from the passenger door, no dice.

Have you by any chance removed the door card on the passenger side recently? I had this issue once and it was because i hadn't plugged the window switch on the passenger side in all the way. I suppose a faulty switch would produce similar results in some situations.

Not sure why it caused the moonroof to stop responding, I wouldn't think they'd be related but it would seem that they are.

Forgot to report back. Everything was working normal the next day and no issue since.

Nothing had been removed.

Just had this happen to me with the sunroof not opening 2016 honda civic ex-t coupe, didn't try the passenger window at the time. After reading the threads went back out to the car, started it, tried both the sunroof and passenger window. Pressed the passenger window button on the passenger side twice, hit the sunroof button, it opened hit the passenger side window button and it worked. Very very strange. Thanks for posting, never ever would have thought of that, thinking it was a fuse problem.

So this happened to me i was randomly unable to roll down passenger window, moonroof, and car alarm would not be set when i locked my car there was no light blinking or beeping, also remote start wasnt working. I figured out it was all due to my passenger window panel switch being unplugged…. I took it out to take door panel off and never put back on but i didnt think this switch being unplugged would effect all of these things. I guess all four window switches need to be connected for the alarm to work properly
