He's just stating what he saw, no need to be a dick.
I'd be more worried about the difference between "you're" and "your" :)
Here I will teach you, btw sometimes typeing on a portable device will auto correct without your knowledge. Now go nit pick someone else's sentences
Your is a possessive – it means something belongs to you.

i have a CW i don't have any of the defects erbee talks about.....and from my own experience CW ITR's usually sell for more than yellow or black ITR's, and since I've been looking at what CTR's are selling for on eBay (with actual bids) all the white ones end up selling for more than 40K while the other colors for less than 40K.....these are just observations of mine.

Now i don't plan on ever selling mine, so that was not my purpose in choosing white, i just happen to like the history behind championship white and Honda.

It is only worth what someone is willing to pay. I wouldn't get a white one, even if clean, for 10k below a red one, or a PMM. To me, color is important, not going to change color by wrapping it, BTW. To each is own.

even if it has good resale value the gain will be when we are in nursing home like the Real Plymouth RoadRunner with matching numbers. i prefer using it than think about resale value when i am probably 70 with bad hip and spine. i would enjoy it.. they are making at least 6k cars for us so no it is not that rare

Good luck with the white. Saw the one in Pasadena today. Crappy paint job . Big panel gap you can shove your fingers in . Front bumper higher than fender. Hood has so much excessive clear coat around the edges. Almost like a post accident car....
I don't think the mediocre paint job is exclusive to white as there's a black car on the forum with some really bad paint runs and other defects. Looks like the paint on these cars is a little hit and miss. Also it has to be noted some cars get damaged in transit from the factory and can have some re-painted panels upon arrival to dealer. This is why it's extremely important to do a thorough walk around when your car is delivered.

I have black. There are a few minor defects that you can tell are from the factory and then swirls from the subpar dealership detailing department. Luckily it can all be fixed with some minor detail work in the garage.

Bummer. That's why it's probably better to tell them not to do anything with it.

Pre-delivery (to the dealer) checklist for me to go over with them:
1. No detail and do not remove the delivery plastic wrap
2. Do not drill the front bumper for the license plate
3. No dealer emblems on the car

Maybe I'm nit-picky, but that's what I'm going to ask for. I also hope the only option I'll be getting is the car cover, but we'll see.

I'm glad they removed the plastic. It's part of their inspection. Honestly, unless they really mess something up when detailing, swirls are going to happen regardless, especially if it's a daily driver like mine. They buff right out even by hand; microfiber towel, light compound, and polish is all you need. They respected my wishes for not drilling the front plate holder and did not apply dealer decals. I happily kept the dealer plate border until my plates arrived.

Sounds good! I'll happily rock the dealer license plate frame for a while if I get MSRP without accessories (which is what was promised).

Does Championship white really worth getting for resale value?
To the purist Honda people.. the white might be special, as for resale value not sure, depends. – still, this car has an unicorn status, I’m leaning to think blue, Red & black. Region has an impact as well on price, all nice cars in Florida want to be white, but at the end of the day, the color becomes less unique. Keep in mind too, if Honda release a second year production, they will use another color for advertisement & bees will stick to that as well.

I will say, that if you had the money and didn't care about driving the car, you could leave it in the wrapper and tuck it into the corner of your garage and sit on it. Then if they stop making the Type R for US import it would definitely be worth it. Anyone else see this? Not a bad return on an 11 year investment.

I would buy a brand new Viper ACR before dropping this kind of cash on a friggan mitsubishi but to each their own.

That's insane! Even considering the fact that that is my IDEAL Evo down to the color, trim, and gen.

Also, you conveniently forget the Chrysler/Mitsubishi history! lol ;)
