Just did mine today (CW), agreed it makes a world of difference. It took me only 10-15 minutes or so to replace and swap out a white LED bulb for each. Didn't even have to turn the wheel to make room (though having small arms/hands might have helped). I'd say do the driver side first (unless you're a lefty) since it's easier to turn the bulb socket with your good hand.

My harnesses didn't have a ton of slack, the sidemarker plastic wouldn't come off the car without me undoing the bulb first but I was able to get my arm in there without too much trouble. I just replaced the sidemarker and then finagled the bulb back in afterwards, wasn't too bad.

If you do end up replacing the bulbs with LEDs, turn your headlights on to check that they illuminate before assembling it back together. If not, reverse them for the polarity and check again. Sucks putting everything back together only to have to take it apart again haha.

Besides having to shave a couple of tabs off the oem sockets and having the time of my life with the super short harnesses I was able to install my Oem Honda clear markers in about 15 minutes total. Wasn't too bad. Maybe I'll get a pair of smoked ones now since they'll probably look better then crystal clears on the red. :hmm:

So the oem Honda side markers do fit?? Please advise as mine are arriving today and I was going to sell them. The original issue the OP had was that the lights wouldn't clip in with the bulb/harness attached. My thought was to install light then turn bulb in from inner fender. Thank all as I would much rather use oem

The trick is to shave the 2 tabs off the light socket since the jdm ones only use 2 instead of 4 like the usdm ones. Install socket onto the marker clip it in and then reach in thru the fender liner behind the marker and clip the harness in. It can be done just a little bit trickier.

No problem. Clear markers look perfect on championship white! I'm glad you were able to install yours. It's not too complicated just tight on clearance since there's that small metal tab support inside of the bumper that prevents the marker from clipping back in with the harness plugged into the socket. The Usdm amber markers clears easily because the socket base is slightly angled on the marker. It's a tight fit but can be installed and you can't beat oem parts any day.

OEM parts are never as good as factory new parts...im a firm believer that OEM PARTS are not the same quality as factory uses in vehicle assembly.

I disagree. An oem part is the same as installed at the factory. Regardless of our opinions on that topic. These oem Honda are far superior to the depo brand which is what I was trying to avoid.

I'm going to stick by my original thread. These markers are not the ones for the CTR but a regular hatch. I have no interest in cutting tabs or forcing anything to make it work when it was not designed for our vehicle. For the patient people in here the correct european ones for the CTR have a part number now and i'm sure will be available in a couple months and will fit without cutting or forcing as they are designed for our fenders.

By looking at the part numbers you may be right. The part numbers I have for my markers are 34300-TET-H01 and 34350-TET-H01. Hopefully the socket bases are more angled to conpensate for the wider fenders. One thing for sure my markers still sit flush to the side of the bumper and fenders with no weird fitment issue besides a tighter clearance to plug in the harness to the socket.

The depo ones look identical to the OEM side markers. No modification necessary
