Is there a guide posted here? I keep seeing some say it was easy and others saying it was difficult.

I just don't want to damage the plastic/fender.

Harness for plug is short so I would reach behind the plastic and disconnect before removing the marker light.

Turn steering wheel left or right to gain access to the 3 screws in the fender.

Here's a vid from YouTube:

I did this for my 16 EX-T and it's the same thing, short wires. Took about 15-20 min after a few scratches on my hands.

Not really looking forward to doing it again on my R lol

I did both of mine in under 2 minutes...DEPO side markers. Did it this morning

No modifications or anything required perfect fit. $25 off ebay.

Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/302372078170

Just installed the DEPO smoked sides on mine as well. I don't know about anyone else, but it was a gigantic pain for mine. The connector wire was so short it didn't even make it past the hole that the connector sits in. I saw videos online that showed them turning the light outside the socket for it, and that is most certainly not possible with mine. I thought I was going to lose the wire a few times. On the drivers side I actually had to install the side marker, then connect the connector with my hand behind the plastic otherwise it wouldn't reach. Plastic is now bent a little, hopefully it goes back into form...

I was hoping it would take 2 seconds like most people reported, but definitely not the case with mine.

dude thanks for being honest....i hate to go through this ....glad it worked out for u ., i have a short temper and glad i didnt do this yet lol....

i hear its hard its not ., gonna try to get them and see how it goes

Dang I hope I don't get the short end of the stick when I go to install mine either. All the videos I seen of the smoked side marker has them installing it in about 2 minutes.

The wire length does seem to vary. One side was shorter then the other when I did mine, but both were still long enough that I didn't have an issue. Mine took like 2 minutes to install, both sides.

You have to unplug the connector before you attempt to remove the side marker WITH the bulb still connected. It's really easy.
Just changed the bulbs to LEDs took exactly 2:05 each side m video attached. Quality is shit, I'm not a YouTube lol.

Based on watching the first half of that video, your driver's side was longer than the one on mine. It was not possible to connect it like that with the light not already in the socket. Too short. It even looked like you could move the marker a little when the connector was attached. Seems that it must vary a little on the cars?

Yes already have the clear ones on, but that is only the cover the bulb, plug act was stock. Only the orange cover was changed earlier. And yes on my car one side is shorter then the other, this was the shorter side.
