Hi All,
Here's my experience with a dealership who doesn't quite understand how to treat their clients with respect! I would love it if everyone would make a comment on Family Honda's Facebook page showing the car that should have been mine...

I placed my deposit in October of last year with a promise I would receive their first CTR, but that was not the case. Here's my message to Family Honda's Owner...
Hi Basil,
My name is Anthony Talotta and I’ll try to keep this short and sweet. Last year in October I placed a deposit on a Civic Type R with Gurpreet Manocha at Family Honda. I placed the deposit on the assumption that I would receive the option to purchase your first Type R and was assured several times by Gurpreet and your Sales Manager Jasib Singh as well. Jasib said that he would call me as soon as he had an idea when the car would arrive. I have kept a very close eye on the introduction of this vehicle and have owned many Honda’s in the past and still have a S2000 which I value very much. I hadn’t received any calls from either individual this week and knew that the Type R would be arriving today or tomorrow. So I stopped by Family Honda today and talked to Mario while he was drying off the freshly delivered Type R, I was so excited to chat with someone in the office to start the paperwork, but I had a strange feeling that this car wasn’t going to be mine. You see, when you see the owners grandson act very strange in your presence, you get the feeling that something isn’t right. I walk into the showroom and the look on Jasbir’s face said it all, and I was really disappointed that he was the one who had to break the news to me that the GM. Mr. Couture had decided to keep the first two Type R’s for himself or racing activities. I believe that Jasbir deserves an apology as well.
I was very upset at this point and so disappointed, the professionalism in the way I had to find this out is totally a move I would expect at the flee market. I’m not sure if Honda Canada will even care about what has transpired, it seems to be the way a lot of dealerships like to treat their customers. Very disappointed, never thought I would have to go through something like this. If I would have been told this months ago, I would have taken my deposit to another dealership and this would have all been a non issue.
Thank you for your time.
