Sorry for the dirty engine bay but I did clean it after posting these pictures.... The ballasts are double zip-tied to the metal frame so they will not move while the car is in motion.

Driver side ballast:

Did you go in through the wheel well? Or through the top?

Did you go in through the wheel well or under the hood?

Only reason I ask is I'm having trouble removing the current bulb. Is there a screw I'm not seeing?

To remove the headlight bulbs, you open the hood and unplug the harness and twist the bulbs out.

Oh wow thank you for telling me it was a harness attached. I didn't see the clip. After I figured that out it was like 10x easier then any car I changed the lights on. Especially vw lol o appreciate all your help! Also idk if you seen but there's a recall on the honda civica. Some vin numbers apply and some done. I would give them a call and see if yours applys

Is there a guide or anything you used? I purchased the Kensun Xenon 5000k HID H11 bulbs with ballasts but am in way over my head when it comes to installing them. I was just going to take them in to the dealership but they said it would be half a day plus $180. I'm smart and pretty capable so I think I could figure it out. Any reference materials and how-to's would be helpful.

It's really simple, you shouldn't have to go somewhere and pay that. It took me like 5 minutes once I figured out it was a harness. You just need a flat head screw driver and unplug the harness. Take the bulb out. Then you grab the kit you bought. There's 2 plugs. 1 goes into the car harness and 1 into the ballast. Then you put the bulb in and lock it in. Repeat on other side. And if you want to stash the ballast some where , I out mine in the same place as crea78. Great place with a few zip ties.

So, this kit costs about $250 or so?
