I assume there's some hwy in that MPG. I just clocked 1k today and I'm mostly in the city with very little hwy. Think I'm getting 23.8

I'm only averaging 21.2 mpg on mines. That's with granny shifting and not double clutching like I am suppose to :drive:

The R is a little difficult to really get the actual mpg because of the cap less fill. Normally you go to the same pump fill the vehicle until fuel is at the very top and it won't take another drop. Then go back to same the pump, fill and then calculate miles into gallons used. The capless fill makes true calculations difficult.

Based on my reading it is at 19, that's without going above 4.5k and shifting early most of the time. That number is about 1% highway and the rest city. That 29.5 must be entirely highway or something...

I had a 2012 Civic Si before this and it would average 24mpg, currently averaging 30 with the Type R. It's pretty nice.

There's an app for that.

I have a lot of city driving, and some highway. And I haven't been a granny. But I didn't rip it from the dealer either. It was an in between those for my break-in mileage.since about 750 miles, been driving it pretty hard. Only got to about 136mph or so, playing with the wife in the GT3.

You don't need to "stuff it full" to get an accurate reading. Just go to the same pump and use the same procedure. It'll balance out. We also keep lifetime records - total miles, total gallons - so the more fills and miles the better accuracy and you can see how the weather, terrain, and driving style/speed influence mileage.
