My estimated time for wiring harness arrival is July7-10. Just be patient brother and ask that no one but that 1 Master Tech touches your car. Mine was placed in a bay all the way to the back away from the usual traffic of cars going in and out and is up on the lift so no one can even just go by and mess with it.
Stopped by the dealer this morning, the tech pulled code p0030 and stated i may need to swap out my ECU, which is worth $2k. I was told to come back thur, since tech support isn't available until then. I'm going to try out a different dealer tomorrow.

When I had this issue, My mechanic just soldered the wires so they wouldn't disengage with the harness. No need to order anything. I watched them troubleshoot until they were able to resolve the issue, I was in and out of Honda in 3 hours.

That happened to me too. However, Honda sent the dealership a new O2 sensor because they said it should be replaced and not a temporary fix.

2015 civic is fully built engine and tranny supercharged e85 , 2017 civic touring 1.5t sedan., 2017 civic type r hatchback 2.0 turbocharged
these things happen........and also those comparing the fk2 to the fk8 saying same engine why is the fk8 having issues.....the fk2 was not built as strong as the fk8 which a lot of technology went into. water cooled manifold , oil cooler and tranny cooler forged rods and crank the fk2 didn't , also sodium filled valves so forth and so on....so u cant say they are the same engine completely.......this is a new engine build and these things will happen and will be corrected ...

Honda need to find a new supplier for their wiring harnesses. Last year when the all-new 2017 Ridgeline was introduced, the first few months of production had a wiring harness running from the cab to the bed that had a crimp splice placed in the wrong location by the supplier. Water would drop onto this splice then wick down the wire all down to a connector then into another connector on the rear differential. In some cases, the rear differential and entire cab/bed wiring harness had to be replaced which was a major job. The proactive solution was to cut and disable a wire then run a new one alongside it - kind of a hack-job solution, but it was better than risking additional damage and ending up with "extra parts" resulting from major disassembly of the vehicle.

Would it make sense to just take the car in and have them check/replace the faulty part, or am I just being paranoid? I know it only affects and inactivates the rev matching feature, but I've gotten to love and used to it

Just fixing the connector is the safest solution. IMO much better than replacing the whole harnass. You can check it yourself by pulling the connector out.
