Do what's best for you.... personally for your use I'd buy sti or golf R. I'm buying the CTR as a summer wehicle so winter doesn't go in my equation. Everyones situation is different do what is best for you.update from yesterday:
They will sell the car...but they want customer to try it (beat it during break in). They also want to put it in the showrom for some publicity and then they will sell it.
Honestly I'm not sure anymore if i really want this car. I got really exited few months ago when I put my deposit down but with all this launch crap I'm not sure. I currently lease my SI and it ends this summer, I cannot wait until December. Also, here in Quebec we have meterS of snow in winter as well as slush, ice and calcium ...not so sure about the ctr for a daily drive in those conditions. Also, I don't want to call every dealer in the region, I know hat they are all sold already.
Since i will go for an another lease I really think about the STI sport. Yeah this is a old engine..the ctr look better, I know all of this. But..the car is available for the same price and will perform nice in snow. My plan would be to lease the sti for 3-4 year and then go for the next ctr or even the new re-designed STI.
Good luck in the car search
