What would be the tire size for these 18s to make the tire flush (or close to) with the fender?

Can't believe I found this thread....I'm going to be buy a black 2016 Civic LX manual in April (as soon as winter is over). In the meantime I have purchased those exact rims for....get this...$500 for all four BRAND NEW! Anyways, I was speaking to someone at a Honda dealer ship that has been dealing with retro fitting these rims and he says that you need to get 215/45 R18 tires for the right fit. He said something about the 2016 Civic being a game changer and that the older tire size will throw the electronics off a bit and same with your speedo. This was a legit dealer and the guy knew what he was talking about...he also recommended Michelin Pilots in that size.

@bobgio90 Great buy! 215 45 18 is the closest match but 225 40 18 can work too if you don't want your sidewalls too high.

Many 2016 Civic owners have loo215/45R18ed within Honda's own wheels lineup for possible 'aftermarket' wheels to mount. A popular potential wheel has been the 18-inch wheels from the 9th gen Civic Si. Several 2016 Civics have now been fitted with these wheels, so fitment is not an issue. And we think the styling also fits the 10th gen Civic sedan quite well.

But there will be a bigger gap in the wheel well and that doesn't look so great....what size are the ones pictured above?

[Qtalked to the ="mechatune, post: 27377, member: 1247"]@bobgio90 they look like 40s. 215 40s even, they're the stock Si size.[/QUOTE]
I talked to the guy in accessories at Honda again. ...he reiterated that 215 45 is the best size for drive and look.

@bobgio90 Go for it! and post pics. I'm on the fence myself between that size and 225 40s on 18 x 7.5s as well.

Not everyone cares about wheel weight. But for those that do.

Stock Tourings seem to be 25lbs while EX-T/L seem to be 26lbs.
You'll be adding 3-4 unsprung pounds per corner with a tire the same weight as stock.

So what are you saying...please explain...what size tire do you think is better?
