Mine is a Canadian touring build in Alliston, Ontario. I got my car on Dec 03, 2015. I have this recall isuue as per the vin verification on website.
I just bought mine Friday its an EX built in Alliston as well. When i called i was told there is nothing postwd for my vehicle. Maybe it's early production models.

I plugged in my VIN last night and had no recall....tried again just now and it shows my car is in the recall patch.....I got the car Mid-December so I assume it was built Mid-Late Nov 2015. This is why you lease cars folks....you never know what is around the corner...

But to be honest, I never had any major issue with my Touring. Sure apple Carplay sometimes have no audio, but I find that is because the info unit is laggy as hell...if I let the info unit warm up for a min or two before I used Carplay...no issues what so ever.

huh? If its a re-call, they fix the car and you go on merrily for 200K miles like I've done with my last 4 vehicles. Every one of them had re-calls. Recalls are FREE even after the 36K warranty so this is a NON issue and has nothing to do with leasing or buying

Exactly, and that's what a factory warranty is for. But as you said, recalls are free even outside of the warranty period.

Let's not get hyperbolic and sky-is-falling about this.

Lol, to me that is a major issue. Let the info unit warm up? In 2016 on a ~$25K purchase? You can't be serious. Is it OK if we have to hand-crank the engine occasionally as well? Honda has clearly botched some things on this model for a lack of testing and it may tarnish their brand if they don't fix them rapidly and completely.

I am not saying that it is an issue with money....it is the fact that my 2006 Acura CSX never had any recalls same with a 1996 Accord....This is my first car...I was advised by a lot of people to lease instead of finance because 1) I will put a lot of mileage on it (I had to pay extra for extra mileage...not much though) , 2) if the car gets into a Car accident...I can just give it back to the dealer instead of getting stuck with it, and 3) to protect quality issues with the new generation

We shall see though....as I have had no problems with my car...just hope the recall is for something minor...

The problem isn't 'warming' up, its the boot sequence. Same for android auto, if you plug in the phone as or before the infotainment has booted, the car doesn't recognize the hardware input very well.

I do agree Honda could have at least placed another stick of ram in there...but another 1 min or two without music in the car won't kill me...I just think is bad software coding/not enough memory....as other people have posted saying that disabling android auto will make the info unit run/start up faster....I have yet to try...

No recalls show up for my car either (a 1.5L turbo). My VIN sequence # is in the 8200-8300 range and was built in Indiana in early January. I'll do another look up tomorrow in case all the VINs aren't loaded into the system yet.

I plugged my VIN on the recall site, was worried as it starts with a 2; site came back with no recall - does that mean I'm ok?

Purchased last Saturday...
I checked online earlier today around 10 am pst and my car showed nothing but an hour later decided to call the phone number Bobman posted just in case the website wasn't updated and found out I was part of the recall. I would call tomorrow just to double check, doesn't hurt.

Though I should say, I'd hate to be the tech to have to perform this recall work. The options are replacing a long block, replacing a short and having to transfer everything over, or just tearing down the existing engine and correcting the issue. None of them are really a 1-hour deal.
No kidding. This is a very long job. It'll be interesting to see what their proposed fix is. It's not exciting to have your brand new motor torn apart though.

Hopefully the Honda's recall website is up to date with vin lookups. I'd hate to just have my turing and find that it's screwed up.

Good thing about being too broke to buy one right now is that they are nailing down the build process and by the time I am ready most bugs will be out of them.

I was at a Honda dealer in SW VA yesterday looking at Civics and they told me they had just received an email that was causing them to put a "stop sale" on all their 2016 Civics except for one vehicle.
