I'm gonna start sourcing outside of TX...

My local dealer is the Loving Honda location, sales guy told me only 2 people put down a deposit, I guess that lucky person got the blue I was never told about......

Interesting none of the ones in Houston are sold. Guess the dealers think that since we're in a big city people are willing to pay the ADM. Or is it because the cars aren't here yet so they can't sell them??

From what I gathered a lot of the dealers will be doing an "auction"...pretty lame if you ask me.

I believe this is what Honda corporate suggested to dealers. I actually like this idea better because the dealership isn't instantly adding ADM to the car. Anything over the MSRP is decided by those who want it.

you have one on its way, right? congrats. I have been calling every where but have had no luck finding one at a decent price without the high ADM.

That one was there just for the auction. It wasn't for sale. From what I'm told, Texas should get their Type R's around July 9th.

Keating Honda in Conroe is doing the whole auction thing for their 1 PMM CTR. It's a 72 hour bidding period.. highest bidder wins.

Jack O' Diamonds Honda in Tyler, Texas is one of the best dealerships I've ever dealt with. Jerry Jones, the General Manager, lives down the road from me. Tell him "zroger73" sent you - he'll know to behave. Cory Hilton, their Service Manager, is a pleasure to deal with.

Tower Honda (formerly Fenton Honda after Brew Honda) in Longview, Texas is the polar opposite. This is a terrible dealership with ridiculous markups, poor service, and bad attitudes.

I agree with the Tower Honda....they have 51k for their CW Type R.
