I guess america has a problem with bragging rights and keeping up with the jonesses or beating the next guy to it regardless of what it took.

I'm willing to be lots of ADM buyers will be having tons of regrets that's is if they can swallow the financial blow to begin with. With nothing to show for but some curious people, some pics, and hipsters saying that's cool bro to account for the extra expenditure.

Yes, america has tons of problems, but that one isnt specific to america lol. I've seen it other countries as well. Anyways, I'm done talking about this. Good talk with the most of you, but for those who yell "adm? U stoopid u pay" sound like teenagers who are making min wage. No logic and point to their post but to bash.

I'm a normal middle-class dude with family, pets, other hobbies, etc, so I will never pay ADM on a car but that's just me. I mean I'm not ashamed to admit I shop at Aldi for some groceries and do I give a damn about those who pay a buck more than me to buy that identical box of Cheerios from Whole Foods? Hell no, to each their own.

I smell fake. You will see this car for sale again with the dealer hoping to sell at $5,000 ADM.

alright I left for a few days to update on Instagram and were back to this "people are stupid for paying adm" again? lol for one food stamps ?! lmao ! over and over again some people can afford to pay adm or don't mind paying adm because they want the car first and now ! and thats exactly what I did I wanted the car now whether it was msrp or adm. I was unlucky to not get msrp and I wasn't patient enough neither to wait around every dealer around me has a markup and 10k was the cheapest adm. either way I can afford it and I don't mind. people complain like if its there money us paying adm is using lol. I'm probably the most humble person you'll ever meet. I didn't always have money growing up. but now I do and I'm enjoying it like how I want it. I would never make a dumb financial decision where it'll cost me to be in the streets. I spend money on cars like theres no tomorrow. Im in the process of selling my m3 now maybe and I've invested about 120k total into the car thats including the car and I'm only selling for around 70k. 2016 8000 miles it basically a year now since I own the car. now thats dumb but thats part of modding cars and higher end cars at that. I feel like the people that complains about adm are the younger younger crowds. I'm only 26 myself but I'm not gonna waste time crying about other people financial decisions. just congrats the person who got their hands on one if not keep your dumb remarks to yourself.

No offense, I bought one too with a small ADM increase.

However you said you're the most humble person and after you mention you spent 120k in your M3 and you're only 26. That's a but contradiciting, lol.

My only point is if someone is paying an ADM.. that should be cash out of pocket (additional down) call this play money, the "irresponsible" dollar to get the car first.

Financial responsibility at the end of the day is subjective, but I can agree that If you're paying interest on the ADM, that's the worst financial decision you can make overall.

The car will immediately be under water by almost half of the priced paid , no one should be stuck in a spot like that. If you paid 50k.. that car is now worth 27-28k and with an average interest rate.. could get your total payoff of 56-58k.

I highly doubt the folks who are paying MSRP really cares about losing money. As I've stated many many times, folks will do certain things that majority of the population will not agree with. What is really the point in calling people out for an action they've willingly done. Throwing insults doesn't really solve anything lol. Will it stop them from doing it again on future purchases? I can guarantee they will not unless it's something they can easily avoid.

As far as the ebay bids go, there are such things as ghost bids. For all we know, the bidders could be people the seller knows who are trying to up the bids. I've done with so many listings myself.

Very well said! Some can afford it, some can't but we're all enthusiasts here so I hope the ADM bashing will stop.

Went to Open Road Honda of Edison NJ and they sold a champ white Type R before it was even delivered for 50k. Guy that bought it went with his son to pick it up and the guy said the car will probably sit in the garage most of the time.... Here is my take on this. The car has been anticipated for years now and there are more enthusiasts than Type R's coming in this first wave. IF you are one of those i must have this car right now people and you have the funds shit more power to ya. I however cannot see myself paying 50k for a civic. That's like 3 EX's or an Infiniti Q50 redsport, or even used corvettes/GTRs.

I feel if you have the cash and money isn't an issue then by all means fill the dealer pockets to have the car today but if you are financing then I just can't defend that as it's simply a bad decision plain and simple. This isn't a limited quantity car so putting yourself in extra debt just to get a car 6 months earlier is idiotic. Six months or even a year really isn't a long time to wait and do things sensibly.

For the enthusiasts who have the money, especially though who are into the aftermarket and/or racing scene the costs add up if you want to be the first. I managed to pay a few hundred less than the original price of an OS Giken LSD for my 370Z because I waited a couple years.

Again using my previous comparison, some will buy Cheerios at a Whole Foods and pay more than an identical item I buy from Aldi. Mass produced cereal, but some decide they want to and can pay more. Their choice; at the end of the day we're all fans of Cheerios whether you spend $3, $4, or $5 for a box. :)

(Imagine how many cruises are being paid for for Whole Foods executives when tons of people are buying their "marked up" cereal!)

Honestly...I don't see this as a jealousy thing at all.

I see it as the smart consumer getting upset that morons with more money than brains are ruining it for everyone else by paying outlandish ADM's and seeing it as no big deal.

how are they ruining it? it boils down to dealerships that are assholes for overcharging. just as many dealers are selling at msrp. i understand what you're saying but it is what it is. somebody will always be willing to pay a little more for something they want now.
