So everyone who's saying they should be showing up in the next week or so... are you located in the US and also is that sedans or coupes? I paid to be on a list and last I heard mine was being built around 24th-29th... But they said sometimes it can take up to 30 days for transport. But I mean who knows, maybe I'll get some good news from him next week. I know people say to be patient but I've been out of a car since November thanks to an older gentleman rear ending me and totaling my baby :(
Most everyone I know is in the U.S.A. My car was built the 16th and sent out the 19th. The Honda dealer informed me that the scheduled delivery date is the 4th-8th of June. They did say that there is a possibility of an early delivery.

This is awesome information! We (my husband and I) were hoping to get lucky and see ours by the weekend of the 10th since following weekend is our local cars and coffee meet. But we ordered coupes so I'm not holding my breath haha. I'm guessing since you have an earlier build date it's a sedan? It so close but I feel like these next few weeks are gonna crawl by haha.

I meant to include in that reply that I believe it is the initial release date for both models. Sorry.

Well I'll let you know when the car roles onto the lot. I live in between Knox and Chatt. Are you planning to buy a si and if so where and what color. And what was your the number you figured you would offer?
Definitely getting an Si sedan, looking at Aegean Blue as first choice, and Silver metallic second. My ideal number is 25.5k OTD in August, though could do 26k if needed. My previous offer of 26.5k OTD rounds up to 27k mentally, which is just too much. I have a Jetta TDI I'm selling back, and there's a gap before the check clears, so I'll be looking at Knoxville for ease of logistics. Minor mods or expenses will be 35% tint on sides/back. 120k/8yr warranty thru Sacucci, etc and potentially OptiCoat Pro ($1k) if I can convince myself I really need it... (no garage at work/home, will keep car for 10 yrs+).

According to auto trader, all sedans minus like 3 of those were late models that were listed as new...I don't think they've even made the coupes yet, that number available continues to go up daily which is nice to see

Mainy been dealing with AutoNation West in Knoxville. They're huge nationally and may be able to agree to a lower price. I got a rough yes via email at 26.5 OTD. Depends how hard another 500-1000 off will be after a few months.

I'm dealing with Rusty Wallace on my deal, looking at a Aegean blue sedan. Looking at least for $26k OTD be ok with $26,500 OTD

Unless I'm mistaken, 26.5 is pretty much MSRP, so it should not be a problem IMHO, -- unless the dealer is an ass... (in which case you should be able to easily find one who isn't)

My timing improved slightly, in that I can wait till end of July/very beginning of August (before school starts) -- so I'll be shooting for probably around 26 then, or maybe even a little under that. Will see how things go. Or if there's a dealer who would take 26 before then -- I'd go for it sooner.

Genuine question: This is my first time buying a brand new car, so how is everyone going about asking the dealer what they are planning to sell the car for? Are you calling, emailing, or using the chat boxes for that particular dealer? How do you ask them what the lowest price would be without asking that question? Do you just straight up say that you're interested in so and so car, what would your price be, does that include any additional dealer markups? I am in contact with one dealer, but haven't really touched on price, but I do feel I need to expand my options in case this place doesn't work out.

Go through online quotes first, use online services such as trucar or carsdirect. I also got a great quote through Costco affiliated dealership which I was able to give to a local dealer and they matched immediately. It doesn't hurt to mass email all of the dealers around your area as well.

These days the sales folks are much more in-tuned to internet prices, I got several that were just very hesitant to price quote me using emails. You are looking for a mass produced car, it will not be hard to come by and it should go as close to invoice as possible.
