I'm getting mine fixed next week and seeing you guys post I'm already mad that the noise will come back I'll probably never buy a Honda again
This time it is quieter, and I think it happened like 2 or 3 times for the past 2 month (I did the fix at beginning of April).

I picked up my car last night and I've had two warm starts today. Ordinarily I'd hear a tiny bit of grind in these kind of conditions but I heard nothing today. So far so good!

I went to my actually dealership Honda downtown and I showed them a video and they took my car for 5 hours and they ran test on it and they said they going order the parts for me and it should arrive next week Thursday
You'd be the first Canadian to get this fix. Honda Canada seems to be lagging on this. Just ask @NorthernEX-T.

What car did you decide on?

I can't wait to trade mine in.
I'm having a really tough time figuring out
What I should get though. Don't want to go past 35,000 and want a brand new car.

I went to Honda with the TSB printed out and they said my VIN wasnt affected. Yet it says right there on the paper all 2016 Civics were affected. They said they cant do anything about it. What do I do? Another dealership already said the same thing to me.

After getting my car back from dealer Ive noticed the CVT no longer jerks whenever I come to a stop like it used to do sometimes. No more grinding noise, and car feels very responsive. I remember that I used to have days where my car felt extra slow, and some days when it felt nice and responsive. Ive seen this documented in the forums as well. After the repair, I no longer have these slow days. Car has been very peppy and consistently responsive. A week prior to the repair I had also replaced my air filter with the AFE Pro5 Dry Filter and noticed a little more pep from it (but my previous air filter was pretty nasty so that may explain it).
So, in summary: No more grinding noise, better response, and no more of that annoying jerking at a stop. Car drives like a dream now, and doesnt sound like a clunker upon startup. Glad honda fixed it
I just got the same fix done on my 2016-ext a few days ago and I noticed the car slows down, speeds up and drive much smoother now but the throttle response actually feels worse than before and when speeding up from 40-50 mph it doesn't seem to accelerate as fast and I have to press down a little more on the gas then before the fix. Have you had this problem and did you do an ECU reset or anything?

Call Honda customer service if you are having the problem and they are telling you your car isn't part of the recall.

I was also told by mulitple dealerships my VIN was not included with the TSB. But it says ALL 2016 Civic VINs..they wouldnt even dianose my car cuz apparently im "heavily modified" with an intake and HIDs and clear side markers

That's odd, no I didn't reset anything. But I did replace my engine air filter around that time with an afe pro dry filter so maybe that could be it. Also I always fill up at Shell gas stations if that makes a difference.
Perhaps your weather makes a difference as well

I haven't had the issue on my car. I also checked online with the VIN number and doesn't have that recall.
