I think I would have been very skeptical buying a new car with 200 miles. That is a LOT of miles for any new car sitting on the lot. Did they use it a lot as a demo or a loaner vehicle? I would check with carfax or the DMV and make sure you are actually the first owner. Also, a dealer trade just means they gave another dealer something in return for the car you were looking for. Shouldn't be that many miles regardless.
My friend got a highlander that was a dealer trade with 200 miles on it, the only one with the options they wanted wasn't nearby.

I would trust his purchase. My Sport Touring purchase was the same situation. The dealership I purchased the car through didn't have the exact one I wanted so they found one and did a dealer swap. The thing is, the closest dealership that would trade was 111 miles away. So someone had to deliver a car to their dealership and drive mine back. Personally, I don't care if the car come with 200 miles on it cause no one is gonna care how many miles the car came with when you go to sell the car. I'm just glad I got the car for a fair price so I didn't care how far I had to go to get it.

The dealership it came from is about 180 miles away, which accounts for the two hundred miles. I put about 20 on test driving. It's at about 500 now and have no issues. I'm not the one who traded for it either, I'm just the one who got it for 1000+ less then any other offers I found. Sometimes you buy something and it's not as good as the hype. So far this has surpassed it.

Never seen a dealer drive a dealer trade to the other dealer. Usually they send it over on a tow truck or a car hauler so that they are covered from the possibility of an accident or body damage from debris on the way.

It was tough to find one with sensing so the dealer had to pull one from almost 500 miles away. Could have gotten one for less if it weren't for that I'm sure.

How did I do? Other dealers around the area were very hesitant to beat this deal.

First post- awesome car

State: TN
Trim: Sport Touring
Tranny: CVT
Color: Sonic Gray
Options: Moonroof visor, all season mats
Price: $25800.00
Price after trade: N/A
Document Processing Charge: $598.00 [ouch]
State and Local Taxes, license: $2156.xx

TOTAL OTD: $28554.xx

Notes: This was a used car with 5100 miles, buyer's remorse turn in, still had the drive off tags on it. I got it as CPO, which extended the Honda bumper to bumper warranty to 4/48k and powertrain to 7/100k. Prob could have gotten a better deal if I was patient and drove out of state to find this car (which happened to be exactly what I wanted, and it was easy, which was more important than $$ to me). I think a fair deal though for what was basically a brand new car.

In my opinion that seems high for a used car with 5100 miles. CPO helps a bit but some people have posted on the thread paying less money for a brand new one. I'm sure the car will serve you well though, enjoy it!

Best I could come up with on a new sport touring one was $2k more and 5 hours away. That worked out to about $.40/mile credit I got for this one- good enough. If the dealer got a little bump from me that's cool, have a steak or cut the next guy a deal.

I "ordered" one:
State: NJ
Trim: Sport
Tranny: 6MT
Color: Blue
Options: N/A
Price: $19,725 (it was about 60 under invoice)
Price after trade: N/A
Document Processing Charge: $299 (this is ok for NJ, some are $599) I usually go to PA where it is regulated to $135
State and Local Taxes: $1416
License and Fees: $150, I am transferring old plates, I will dispute this becasue it should be $90+
Subtotal: $22465
Car was "ordered" around 4/20? it is expected in AUGUST!

I got the same Color and Trim New for a few hundred less. Knowing how hard this car is too find and the fun I had with it, I would have paid much more. Congrats in getting the one you wanted, you won't be disappointed.

Wondering whether the Si release will impact other model pricing at the dealers. I'm interested in the EX HB with Sensing. Based on Costco partner pricing I was offered $21.9K+fees and tt&l here in California.

Any thoughts? Seems like hatchbacks are selling well here in So Cal so I'm thinking $21.9 is a great price.

Moss Bros in MoVal quoted me $20,774 for an EX HB
