<3 Yeah it's best to wait until u get the car (or at least the full official spec of the car) then do the shopping.I would probably go with 18x9, more room for brake clearance is a good thing. Now that @SaiHayashi has mentioned differences in barrel design, that might be a consideration as well...
Honestly even with all this speculation, I'd still be scared to buy wheels ahead of time. Is there a specific reason you'd want wheels ready when the car arrives? If it's not winter driven, wouldn't you want to tool around on the 20's for a bit and see how it feels? The amount of reliable info is going to skyrocket once the car drops, and for sure more wheel options are gonna pop up!
I think im going down the ce path too, altho i actually really like the stock rims at 20", just tyre cost is insane over here in Australia and Bridgestone wont come in that tyre size at all...Just sharing my proposed wheel plan: I plan on getting Rays Eng/ Volks CE28N - 18x9? Those stock 20's are nice but not my cup of tea.
Uhh... not that you care what I think but I'm never a fan of trying to match the car color to the wheels as you are never going to get the white wheels to match the Championship white very well. If you are successful, then you sort of end up with a '80s VW Cabriolet look. Photoshop those white wheels onto the red car and I bet it looks way more aggressive and less "Miami Vice". I think almost any color wheels look good on a white car... except white wheels. The car has so many black highlights that I'll be sticking with black. Satin black though as gloss black gets lost and doesn't show any of the surfaces well.A not great Photoshop of what my Type R will look like with 19"X8.5" Work Emotion CR2P on 245/35/ZR19.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Just like I'm not a fan of white wheels on a red car. If you don't like white on white, I guess you don't like theses either:Uhh... not that you care what I think but I'm never a fan of trying to match the car color to the wheels as you are never going to get the white wheels to match the Championship white very well. I'd like to lower it too, but I'm afraid what it will do to the dampers.Hate to say it guys, but I think the CTR needs to sit about 1/2" to 3/4" lower.
I'm with you. I'll definitely rock stock for a year or two and wait for 'others' to make the mistakes for me to learn from.I'd like to lower it too, but I'm afraid what it will do to the dampers.
