It looks right to me.

Remember: you don't plug your Honda headlight connector directly into the harness: you plug it into the connector on the replacement HID bulb and then connect that to the relay harness (3 to 4 in the diagram above).
Hmm, guess I gotta go back and learn how to re-read wiring diagrams lol

Edit: I got it to work! Yeah, I should have looked at the illustration more closely, even the one that came with the relay was similar to the one you posted....thanks again for the help...hardest part to it was running the wire to the other side and make it neat and secured.

hmm, drove last night to try to clear the VSA lights that come on after battery disconnect, it was raining pretty good, but I know i went over 12mph...the manual says to go over 12 mph for less than 10 seconds, but another spot it doesn't say that...any way to clear the lights? They came on after I pulled battery and reconnected it. I am not 100% sure it was a straight line tho, I doubt it, think that could do it?

Edit: drove some more, lights went off... Thanks all for the help! Love this car!!

Upgrade yourself to a 55w 5000k and you won't be sorry. It's 55w 5000k is pure white like 35w 4300k. The output is absolutely amazing!

I'm very happy I switched to 55w.

Which HID kit do you have? (Brand)
All I could find were 35 w on XD

Cheap eBay 55w kit. Xentec is the brand. I've had decent luck with their products. I would suggest buying a quality kit if you can afford it tho. I have Morimoto lights for my WRX now and WOW what a difference. Lights turn on so much faster and they just seem brighter. I'll post a picture of those soon. I've only bench tested them, still finishing my retrofit.

I got XD's 4300K Extreme HID kit that already comes with a relay and grounds built into the harness. Well worth it imo.

DarkLight,
I just got the same kit like yours, Extreme HID
I had some problems with installing it to my car.
Without relay everything worked fine, but with relay the lights didn't come on at all.
I connect (-) cord to body frame on the washer fluid and (+) to the fuse box like yours.
Any advice?

Double check your connections. Make certain you connect the harness through the jumper attached to the drivers light. (See connection 3 and 4 in the attached diagram.) Bypassing this jumper could cause the HIDs not to light.

Assuming that you installed all of the connectors correctly, it sounds like you may need to reverse polarity. This is accomplished by the flipping the connector that goes to the input side of the ballast (might have to pull the actual leads out of the connector and flip them to get the clip to fit).

However, what I would do first is refer to the diagram in the previous post and make sure all connections are correct and secure. Then, if it still doesn't work, call XD and see what they say.

Just to make sure, you did put both positive wires on the relay correct? Also, a good location for the 2nd ground point is the right side bolt of the fuse box.

Make sure to check the inline fuses too.

Thanks for the info guys.
I just figured it out that one of the ballast didn't work, and I was kept trying that one.
Gonna mail xenondepot now to see if they can send me another ballast and I think I'm good to go.
Will update the result later.

It's 8 months later and I'm loving the light upgrade.

FWIW, I changed the replacement harness's 30 Amp fuse with a 10 Amp - figuring that 120 Watts should give plenty of start-up headroom for two 35 watt lights - and the headlights are working just fine.

Unlike the 2016 model, I noticed the '17 Civic didn't get a top rating (TSP+) this year by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety because it's headlights were rated Poor. IMHO, these HIDs address this deficiency quite well.

I can't recommend an HID light upgrade highly enough. $50 well spent.
