For those of you who have deposits down and/or are planning on buying a CTR, what are your plans with a daily driver? I'm considering picking up another car to use possibly in the winter time and store the car away due to the snow we get in NY. Anyone planning to drive it year round as your only car?

Another thought, anyone considering driving it in the winter? My only concern is how low it sits, a lot of snow could pose an issue. I would rather not buy another car for the winter, but want to keep the CTR in great condition.

I'll do the same CTR only for good weather. Due to aforementioned reasons plus the salt that corrodes chassis elements. More expensive to change high performance elements like brake parts.
I'll take the Bimmer in the winter if I need to.

I agree, the salt is what concerns me the most.

Daily driver for me, (school and back, going out, casual rides) but I work as at a pizzaria for delivery, so I'm gonna ride out my 04 Acura TL for work, bad weather, city driving (since im in NY), and whenever I want to really since its also a modded TL so I love it just as much as I'll love my CTR.

A downsized winter wheel and tire package go without saying.

But I too am on the fence as to if it will be a DD for me. Quite honestly, likely not. It will get put away once the snow starts to fly and will come out once we are in the clear.

I can justify both ways, I want to drive it all the time but also don't want the salt to destroy it underneath. Not sure which way I'll go.

Salt takes years to really cause issues. By then the third owner will be posting about it

If I trade my sti in for the type R, then yes, it'll be my new daily.
