I noticed HondaPro Jason is still quoting 2800lbs for the CTR curb weight in his Instagram post today.... Sorry if I missed it but is this true or are we expecting a little over 3000lbs here?

Its gotta be over 3000lbs I would think for sure?

No offense to HondaPro Jason but the guy isnt an engineer. He is marketing first. All he does is sell cars and do social media. I dont think he has a clue that 2800lbs is not possible for the CTR.
Hpj is obviously not following along very well, as well as noting the car @2800lbs like you mentioned, he says it's the us version.. lol. It clearly has the euro plates, sensing pkg, and clear marker lights. This is most deffinetly not the us version.

I saw that post too. The curb weight still hasn't been confirmed by Honda yet, but most people agreed that it's closer to 3,000lbs.

Wow I just saw that, and was cleanly beaten to the punch. I think the 2800 lb has been debunked, but the wishful part of me hopes he knows something we don't. Jesus this car would be a monster if it was that light. He ALSO said US version (rekindle the accessory debate?) but I think he was referring to the 306 hp.

Aaand 2 replies as I typed this. I'm way too slow..

I had the exact same thoughts, wish the post wasn't so vague. I can't imagine he was referring to the accessories but at this point who really knows.

Looking at those black color seats with wordings around the headrest, I think those aren't the FK2 Black Edition seats.

The FK2 Black Edition seats have the Type R wordings below the shoulder area. Another pic also shows that the red seatbelts are very similar to the Sabelt racing harness with the yellow backing behind the Sabelt logo.

Perhaps they changed the stock seats to a lighter racing bucket like those from Bride.

Agreed. I just hope it's not movie magic.
It could just be that one is in a building or something while the other is out in the open, with the mic source who-knows how far away...

Yep, call me weird, but the exhaust from the prototype one sounds boomy and is actually a little annoying. It doesn't sound that good.

im not feeling that slammed look or the rubber band tires on 20's. I think about and inch higher and 18's with a little more sidewall is perfect. however...what the hell do i know
It's not a "look". It's what happens when the suspension compresses due to loading during high-G (well, for a street car) corners.
