What does "versus outgoing model" mean?
image.jpeg
Does this mean the Civic can go up to 235/45/17?
No, it means the last Civic LX wore 195/65-15, and that has become 215/55-16, a change of 20/-10/1 respectively.

However, the Honda website indicates Civic LX with manual 6 speed is 2472 lbs, quite a bit less than Civic LX with CVT (2751 lbs). See screen capture below.

Honda Civic 10th gen Official Technical Specs of 2016 Honda Civic Civic LX dimensions

Anyways, I wonder how the Civic LX MT is 279 lbs lighter than the CVT, that seems like a lot. Is the CVT and torque converter combo really that much heavier, or is there something else going on?

Yeah, that was discussed earlier in the thread. It's obviously a misprint on the website. It's remarkable that Honda has not corrected it in all these months.

The coupe has different specs than the sedan. The body is shorter, lower, and wider, making it much better looking. The coupe has firmer sport-tuned suspension with beefier stabilizer bars and firmer springs. Also increased damping of bounce and roll. The coupe actually handles and corners on a level equal to that of some sports cars. Mine has the 2.0 because I wanted the six-speed stick. I love it. It's the best car I've ever owned. Not the fastest,or the most luxurious, but the best in an overall technical sense. I can't stand the CVT trans. The whining, droning, disconnected, response killing feel when driving it is awful(to me).
The six speed is awesome to drive. I had a Nissan 200SX SER, and this new civic is faster. Also the LX coupe comes with beautiful alloy wheels, not the crummy hubcaps that the sedan comes with.
Also the torsional rigidity of the chassis is amazing, as is the sealed bottom side of the new civic. Wind noise at 60mph is virtually nonexistent. I still haven't figured out how to change the oil. It looks like I have to remove a small section of the belly pan under the car.

I came very close to buying the 2016 Civic Coupe in manual transmission, but I really wanted to get it in the 1.5L Turbo.

Can anyone educate me on what engine series and/or name the 1.5L turbo belongs to? I know the 2.0L engine is a K-series K20. Thanks in advance.
