I got a quote for an EX-T for $21,197 that includes a $250 discount end of year. Should I buy now or do you think I can get a better deal if I wait?

I think that is a good deal, but it varies so much by region from what I can tell on here.

Here's the thing. They aren't advertising this car yet. As soon as they do, they will fly off the lots. Jan 1st could be when they start to advertise.

You almost always get a better deal if you wait longer. You have to decide if you really want the car now or are willing to wait for a possible discount. Look at the 2015's at $1500 to $3000 discount, still a good best-selling car.

It comes down to this. Do you want a car now? Or do you want to wait a whole year for possible better deals on 16s, before the 17s come out?

This is a full redesign, so you wont see any big discounts on the 10th gen Civic like on 15s until right before the 2019 (refresh year) model comes out.

Yeah currently most dealers in my area have their 2016 civics $1000-1400 off MSRP, and that's already a good deal considering they are brand new. Obviously the 2015 are going to be really good deals because the dealers want them off the lots ASAP. If you want a great deal on the 2016 you're probably gonna have to wait till the 2017 models get released.

Also consider rising interest rates in the US.

An additional 1-2% rise will cost you possibly $1000+ over a 5 year note.

I'd be interested to see where rates stand a year from now. They're already roughly .5% higher than last year.

Is this with or without sensing?

Thanks, exactly what I'm looking for. Was being offered 21.5k here. Haven't decided yet either.

Read in one of these posts of someone getting around your price with sensing but that hasn't seemed to be the norm from what I can tell.

Agree with all the comments here, cars are depreciating assets. The longer you wait, the better deal you'll get. Just depends whether you can wait

That's a great deal for December/January if that includes destination. Invoice price for that car is $21,462 including destination. Because there are no dealer incentives for the 2016 civic yet like there are for the 2016 accord and 2015 civic, you won't find many dealers to will sell at invoice price or even below invoice as they will make very little profit. If you wait until summer or fall next year, you will see more invoice pricing or below invoice, as well as finance deals like 0.9% or $500 cash back for financing through Honda.

Check with the dealer though, I think they are not including destination fees which are another $835.
