I havent tried calling yet...i figure they will look up and find the tsb thats pending resolution and not fixed yet
So I called Honda and wasted 10 minutes of my life... :) Maybe all of you can call in and there may be a cumulative effect.....
I have two plans of action now:
1) Waste some more time taking it to a dealer - just to check that off also
2) Contact California EPA and submit this issue as an environmental hazard, which it is and then hopefully we will get Honda's attention

Will keep every posted... as I work through this.

Well... CalEPA had an online form.... so I switched action items 1 and 2.
An online complaint has been submitted with CalEPA....
Now I have to find time to take the car to the dealer....

Seem like I have problem with fuel overspill if the station pump gas really fast. That happened to me at least 3 times at a Costco station in Cypress, CA. Or any Chevron station that have the fat circle pump instead of cup. I don't mind the spill but is there any tips to mitigate it further?

Happens at Costco for me, thing is, it doesn't happen if I'm manually filling it, only when I use auto-fill

Sounds to me like California gas stations are the problem, not Honda. I've used several different gas stations, and never had a single problem.

Non-Californians have the same issue.

True but unacceptable...they sell the car here in California so the car should be designed to work here too.

Were you serious?

Have you read this entire thread?

This just now. Happens every time now.
GOD DAMN! I've never had a problem like that happen before. I often get overfill but have never seen so much gasoline come out of the pump like that. Maybe a couple of drops here and there. I gas around multiple Shell, Chevron, Valero, and Costco gas stations in the SF Bay Area and have never had such problem. Even with my little spills, if my tank is empty, I would watch the meter go up to 9 gallons or so and then fill the remainder of the car manually by giving the pump a little bit of squeeze. This usually gets rid of the overfill. Make sure to leave the nozzle in the fuel filler hole for 10-15 seconds after the pump clicks.
