2016 Civic Touring Lunar Silver
I just got home from test driving a Touring. I'm at the point in life, (i.e. old lol) where comfort and features have a higher priority, and value. I loved the Touring. It definitely feels like a premium, near luxury level car. But it's a CIVIC!!! :) Oh, and I put a down payment and ordered a Lunar Silver Touring after the test drive.

Did they budge much on price? I'm very interested but I may have to wait to get a better price.

Good find I'll have to contact them. Looking for a touring model.
Unfortunately they aren't showing any in stock, but if you call they should be able to tell you if they are getting any in stock. In the past week I've seen stocks swell so it shouldn't be long.

Got a reply, they are selling them for 23,991. Sounds like there's a catch so I'll try get some info on the fees. Nothing in stock but they have more being built.

Don't think they are going to be doing much negotiating till Summer of next year, When the coupes, hatch and Si come out. Maybe if you have some awesome negotiation skills that I don't have ha. But still you are so right as far as competition. The Mazda 3 with the bigger engine is over thirty k loaded which is ridiculous.
I got mine for $100 over invoice.

Is the "dealer invoice" number from the first page the actual dealer cost?

No it's not.

Here's a good explanation of what dealer invoice price is.

What is Invoice Pricing?

Invoice price (sometimes referred to as "dealer cost") is the price that appears on the invoice that the manufacturer sends to the dealer when the dealer receives a car from the factory.

Please note, however, that this price is almost always higher than the amount the dealer actually ends up paying to the manufacturer. This results from a variety of discounts offered to the dealer that do not appear on the invoice. The two most common discounts are Dealer Holdback and Dealer Cash Incentives, and there are others that may be based on factors such as a dealer's sales volume for a particular month.

It varies per manufacturer. With a brand like Nissan, Ford or GM, invoice is not the end all price, since they offer many cash incentives and other subsidies, in addition to bonuses for volume, which ties to Fleet Sales.

Honda is a bit different. While there is hold back (which is technically what each Honda dealer is giving by the manufacturer to cover marketing the vehicle), Honda does not participate in Fleet sales and rarely have dealer cash incentives (unless a model is about to be fully redesigned). This is in order to keep the resale values high. Living close to NYC, Camrys are seen as taxi cabs, as the Big Apple is littered with yellow Toyotas.

So for a Honda store, invoice is cost, yet if they want to sell it behind that price, or even below the Hold Back number, its really up to each store. A Nissan, however, can be purchased for hundreds or even thousands under invoice, if that's what you really want to drive or can afford.

Should I expect these prices to rise in the coming months? Visited a dealership last week and he was giving me the impression that a few months after the initial release the pricing would likely jump. Calling this "pre-release" pricing. Sounded a bit fishy
