Hey guys. I just got an email from Honda Cars of Corona. They're the only socal dealership that emailed me a (in)complete pricing list of every 2016 model and trim. I've been doing a lot of local dealer research as well as checking TrueCar listings and these are some of the lowest prices I've seen with the exception of some. Perhaps you can use this to your advantage when negotiating with your dealership. PM me your email address if you would like me to forward you the original email.

This is great info, thank you for sharing to those of us in SoCal. So are you going to get one of these? Which one?

I've also been getting quotes and the Corona didn't provide me prices specifically but just said bring in the TrueCar printout and they'll match it. I don't know how true that is as I see a bunch of Yelp reviews saying they don't honor those once you get there. Anyone here have experience with Honda Corona?

I got quotes from 2 other dealers in the IE that were pretty good as well. EX-L w/ Sensing for around 20800, and Touring for 25000. Would like to not drive to the IE if possible and get a local dealer in OC to match.

Do you mind sharing names of those two dealers? I am currently looking to buy a EX w/ Sensing but all prices I got from LA dealers are pretty damn high.

Yep, I got a lot of the same high quotes from LA and OC dealers as well. The 2 quotes I mentioned were from riverside and spreen. However I have not gone in yet, was wondering if anyone has any experience with those dealers and corona. Are these bait and switch or are they good to do business with?

this is great info. i'm on the central coast of cali. about 2.5 hours from LA. the best price i have got is from Riverside Honda. 22,500 for an eX-l w/ sensing. ... so these prices you have in LA are better. i don't mind at all driving that far for my new civic. please keep me up to date with that dealer. sales manger , etc.

thanks

I bought my EX-T from Honda Cars of Corona and I can vouch for their lowest prices. I will say this first, every single one of their cars has the dealer installed "Protection package" which includes trunk mat, splash guards, and wheel locks. The price for this package on the sticker was $895. They also have a "Security package" that includes a supposedly better alarm system that they have to activate should you want the package. You can decline this option easily.

If you guys want to avoid the hassle of extras, check with fleet dealer pricing. Costco Fleet Pricing, for example, works with most So Cal Honda dealers.

Most of us who've done car purchases know that calling or visiting a dealer is a waste of time, unless one enjoys some old-fashioned negotiating.

Inquire over email to a bunch of dealers (don't leave phone info); see which ones respond with a quote, similar to OP. Or go through a fleet dealer pricing program. Costco and many credit unions have them in So Cal. The pricing above was taken from USAA.
