Does anyone think that a sport touring hatch for almost 30k is way too much money ??? I mean you can get a really nicely equipped mid size sedan or small SUV for that cost

Im loving honda right now but possibly these carz have already been infamously popularized to where they sell themselves can drive the price up. That may account for the dealer less than enthusiastic attitude with me. Saw something that honda has made over a million vehicles now...some huge fact I can't quite right now. He was willing to let me walk away before we had to show that we needed to buy the car anyway. All this being said there's a lot of differences I'm seeing between the base lx to the touring sedan probably more over with the hatchback such as completely different exhaust configuration.

Yes I get all that but the price of this compact is way to much. Even if you want to compare to other compacts for the price your paying you can get a GTI or a focus ST which offer a lot more than this hatchback and let's not mention you can get a fully loaded HRV from Honda for that price with much more utility and awd

The GTI and the ST's focus is more on performance than economy and reliability. The HRV's focus is more on utility than fun. The Civic's focus is fun in a reliable and efficient package. Can't say which car is best, it just depends on what you're looking for.

I think it is appropriately priced for what it offers. That's why trim levels exist so you can forfeit some luxuries and pay less. If anything my only complaint is that there isn't a middle tier sport trim between regular or touring. That is a large jump to make straight to sport touring

I agree 100%... when I went to the Honda dealership a few months ago they only had 1 Sport Hatchback--& it was sitting inside the showroom...so after I looked at all the other Civics, my eyes were stuck on this one--from the huge center exhaust, to the cool looking body mods, to the 18" wheels---I didn't care that I needed a key to start it or that the audio system was basic--the car itself looks way much better in person than in pics---

I just think that buying at the top end you get much more car/SUV elsewhere and I believe when sales numbers for the models come out that will show

We get 2 Sport Hatch models in Canada, one at $25k and the other at $31k which comes loaded up, with the Touring Monicker and the 6 speed manual as well.

I think its an decent value for the price.

That rear roof spoiler posted above makes me sick. Reminds me of the bubble civics from the 90's with shopping cart handles on the roof

Yeah the spoiler is actually an upgrade. I went to the Honda site & ordered the upgraded top spoiler

I just mentioned this in another thread but Ill paste here too. On Topic. ......The touring sport is overpriced IMO. I purchased the hatchback sport and just added premium leather interior which actually gives you way better leather seats than what the touring offers. Waaaay better. The CarPlay is nothing special at all either ( I own a 2017 touring civic sedan also). It's sounds like it would be cool but after a week of moving thru all the screens you realize you'll never use them. I will upgrade my hatchback head unit to something a lot better than the CarPlay touchscreen. It's actually quite glitchy. Nothing that can't be fixed with a hard reset but still. My price is $25000 flat Out-the-door, all fees and taxes included with premium leather seats ( I chose color, stripe options, stitch color and style , plus I chose the highest quality leather option)and manual transmission. Sun roof would be nice but won't cosmetically add anything to the appearance for me since I'm wrapping my roof. Just my opinion of course. I realize I didnt get an amazing price but what i wanted was leather interior in my sport...Done
