Did you special order it through Costco / website or did they have it in stock at the store? Tried my local Costco and they said 215/55/16 is a special order and wouldn't check their system to see who else has it.
Yup, bought them early September. They came in last week, having them installed on the 20th

I have the Firestone Winter force tires on mine. They arnt the best tires on ice but they chew fairly good in snow and slush. Had to drive back from Radium to Okotoks through some nasty snow and slush and didn't have any issues. Went with them mainly for the aggressive tread for snow and they were fairly cheap.

My Sport Touring Hatchback will arrive mid December, two months of winter and fresh off the boat tires I don't see the point.

Next year if available I'm going with Continental ExtremeWinters, had them on my last couple.

Just got Michelin x-ice3 tires (205 65R/15) and 15" aftermarket rims. Tires and rims installed price $900 out the door. Aftermarket rims only costed me $80 a piece. I would've paid about $110 more to get the xice3's at Costco.

I negotiated Michelin XIce3 winter tires + alloy rims for free when I bought my EX-T - so not really much help with the pricing. I took it down a size from EX-T standard 17" to 16" for winters.

However, Michelin prices are pretty standard (probably a few bucks cheaper at SimplyTire + they have $70 rebate most of the year). You typically get to negotiate the price for the rims, but in your case you already have the rims.

I've been using Michelins on all my previous cars, and love the XIce3 - strongly recommend.

Hey folks.
Im in Calgary and looking to get winter tires and rims for my Civic Sedan Touring. While I got my car in Calgary, Im going to switch over to Okotoks Honda as i just heard they give Lifetime of Oil Changes for free and give loaners out when clients need. Have you heard much about them and who I should deal with?

I bought my car there since I live in Okotoks and they do give you free oil changes for life. I don't remember the guys name who I dealt with but they were really good there. I put firestones on my civic. they work pretty good in snow but not the best on ice. kinda wish I would have spent a little bit more and got some better tires for ice

Thats wicked! I got my wife's car signed up for Free Oil Changes too. I just dealt with Brian, the Service Manager and they treated me great! Great place to do business!

I was thinking about purchasing the studded Hakkapelittas are those recommended?
If you can afford them I would say go for it. The good thing about these tires is that they install the studs as they mold the tire instead of after. So the more they are worn the more the studs sticks out to compensate.

I hear they are really good but only if your laws allow them to be driven on the local roads. Studded tires are not allowed on the urban roads where I live.

Very good studable tire yes, I would also recommend the firestone winterforce for studding too.

They winter force would need studs to grip ice at all. I find them good in snow and slush but terrible on ice. I think they grip ice the same if not worse than the all seasons my civic came with

Forsure, but in my experience, finding a tire that grips ice is hopeless unless you have studs. My blizzaks grip ice just as shitty as my all seasons, I find.
