Hey everyone, I'm Shaun. I've got an Aegean Blue touring with my name on it on a truck somewhere on its way to me! Before this one, I had a 1998 Civix EX (Cypress Green) and still have a 2003 Element EX AWD (Galapagos Green). Can't wait for my CivicX to show up!

I'm happy to be here :)

Hi,
didn't see this thread until after I posted "im new here" thread. LOL
here that is: http://www.civicx.com/threads/new-here-16-civic-in-near-future.930/
^sorry. :)

My name is Ryan. I am going to be purchasing a new 2016 Civic EX T in the near future. Trying to be a little patient for now, but have test drove it twice, almost took a big loss on my car and drove off with the civic once. haha. I live on the coast of California.

This site is great! I have been checking it out for a couple weeks and have found tons of useful information and lots of great pics of new civics. And lots of enthusiasm for the new Honda civic.

Cheers!

Ryan

Hey there CivicX people! My name is Tim. I've been lurking on this forum since August and figured it was finally time to make an account. Recently test drove the new Civic over Thanksgiving weekend and boy is it so much sweeter than my 2012 Civic Hybrid. Definitely going to try and pick up an EX-L or Touring when I'm back home from college for the holidays.

All the best,
Tim

Hello CivicX. I'm Mark from Burlington Ont. Lurking for the past week. My wife brought home a Taffeta white LX Sensing. Alliston build #1538. Canadian spec. Bought through Halton Honda/ Allan Mack. Great service all round. No deals right now to be had on this hot little car. This car replaces our bought new old trusty 03 Accord EXV6. Had a 05 Odyssey touring up until this past May. So we do love our Honda's. The Civic seems very close in size to the old Accord. Enough toys to keep us happy. Bought the Michelin X ice winter tire package, so we're ready for the crap to fly! Cheers, Mark.

Hey folks, wanted to introduce myself. I'm Ed and have been a long time Honda fan, although I had been disappointed recently thinking that Honda (and Acura) had lost their way. Glad to see they have their mojo back with the new Civic! I stopped by my local dealer the other day and have to say I think the Civic looks great inside and out, with terrific packaging and great MPG. Sounds like they are a blast to drive as well.

I currently own a 2005 Acura TL. Previous Honda's I owned were a 1980 Civic 1500GL, a 1984 Civic 1500DX, a 1988 Prelude Si, and a 1999 Civic Si. All were purchased new except the 1984 Civic. All of the cars (including my current Acura) had manual transmissions - Honda makes great manuals!

I'm looking forward to seeing the upcoming Civic variants. Probably not buying for some time as I still very much enjoy driving my Acura, but you never know. In the meantime, I'm looking forward to reading about everyone's new cars and contributing to the forum when I can.

Hey Guys! David here. Having owned a couple of Prius for the last ten years (2004 and 2013) I most probably will be getting the new Civic Touring. I still have my 2004 Prius which has 248,000 miles and original battery. The 2013 is just a lease and I'll be turning it in late Spring. I was going to get the new Prius but don't like the way it looks (I know, the old one was way out there too). I test drove the Touring model yesterday and that pretty much sealed the deal. It is amazing what value you get with this car! Silly things amazed me like the passenger camera that engages manually or with the right turn signal. GENIUS! Every car should have this. Heck, this car has nearly every safety feature of a high end Mercedes. I also am amazed by the quality interior. They've hit a grand slam with this model!

Hello all. I’m a long time auto enthusiast searching for my next car. Looking for a 4 door that handles well and is reasonably quick (at least low 7's to 60mph). I’m trying to determine if the new Civic EX-T or SI would be the right choice. My current driving patterns are more suited to an auto tranny than a manual. The only Honda I’ve driven to date was a late 70’s Civic that my wife owned when we met. I joined this board to keep up with news on the upcoming SI and to read about owner experiences with the 1.5L turbo models.

2012 Mustang | 2016 Civic LX manual
Hi there. I just purchased a 2016 LX manual (white) and am based in Ontario, Canada.
My last Honda was an Accord SE-I. After that I had several Mazdas. I also currently own a 2012 Mustang (perf package).
I was looking at picking up a new Accord but actually like the new Civic better so I bought one (and saved some money).
I had looked at a Civic back in 2006 but liked the Mazda3 better and bought one. Then rust happened..as it did on my Mazda6.
I'm proud that the Civic is assembled in my home province and the new larger size fits me well. The 9th Gen wasn't comfortable for me as I'm 6'4".
We are all beta testers of this new 10th gen and I look forward to the journey with everyone on this forum.

Cheers

hi there. i agree with you David. It's amazing all the safety and convienence items this new civic has. I have test drove it twice and am sold also. And i'm in the same boat as you, my lease will be up this spring(ish) too. So i will be purchasing a civic about the same time. cheers.

*And welcome to the rest of you new people to the site and congratz to those who have new cars already! :)

Hello all! Just got my Modern Steel Metallic Touring, and what a beautiful ride. (Especially after driving my Mini Cooper Hardtop for the past 5 years.) I had a 2003 Civic Hybrid and a 1993 Civic Hatchback DX before that. So happy to return to the Honda Civic, and the Touring is the most luxurious car I've ever owned. Unfortunately it's been pouring down rain and black in Seattle for the past week, so I haven't really wanted to take it out for a long drive. So far I'm loving it!

Hello Civic Nation! And Canadian Civic Nation! Picked up my WOP Touring early this morning... WOW. Coming from a 2000 Civic that I got as a gift in high school now in my mid 20s and this was my first "real" new car purchase so I had done a lot of research. Caught wind of the new design early on in the process, and so this site and others were very helpful in filling in all the little details. Hope to post some pictures in the coming days. Got about 100km on her now (mostly highway) and I can say that this car is FUN to drive.

On a side note, I do consider myself to be fairly tech-savvy, but this car has so many things going on inside that I think it's going to take me a little while to learn it all... any new owners feeling/felt the same?
