Hmm, so just the cover comes off?

This is the part I have...I'm expecting to the whole thing to come off.. am I wrong?

That is the way they sell it. It easier to remove the armrest cover than the whole assembly.
So you have to remove the armrest cover off the new part and the one in the car.

Wish they just sold just the armrest cover. Would be much cheaper.
At least they sell all the other armrests by themselves.

Well, you were absolutely correct, P4Cruiser.

I was thinking I'd have to remove the back of the console from the backseat and install entire assembly. This is an easy install but I'm pissed I had to buy all this needless plastic.

I agree. Waste of material and money.
On the 2016 Civic sedan to get the door armrest you have to buy the whole door panel.
On the 2017 Civic Hatchback you can buy the armrest separate as per my part numbers in one of my previous posts.

@SoonerinFL That's awesome. I happen to take this project on last week before I saw this post and did the door armrests with possibly the same exact faux leather from Hobby Lobby. They turned out perfect.

Unfortunately, in trying to do the two small side pieces for the center console armrest, they're not turning out as I'd like. Too many creases, etc showing so I may purchase those pieces already wrapped. I like the stitching anyway.

Just one question for you since you bought the center console ones. How do they look in contrast to the door armrests we've wrapped ourselves? Would it look silly if I purchase the two center console side pieces and wrap the center piece myself? I'm thinking of buying all 3 pieces, but if they look close to the same, I may wrap the center larger piece and buy the side pieces to save some $$.
How hard is it to remove and replace the door armrests??

I never tried it, but I imagine you just need to pull up on the armrest fabric area.
It's very simple, take a plastic wedge and slide it under the plastic piece in the front and just pop it up and slide your wedge to the side and repeat. Just don't yank it out because the plugs are connected the the switches still.

I just replaced the center console arm rest and the center left and right armrest with leather from http://hondapartsnetwork.com. The center armrest can be easily remove by lifting up at the front or back of the piece. The center console you have to buy the assembly and remove the two screws that holding the center armrest to the assembly. It took me about 5 minutes to do the three pieces.

Parts #

Right Console Armrest Assembly 86411-TBA-A11ZA $39.03
Left Console Armrest Assembly 83416-TBA-A11ZA $39.03
Armrest Assembly 83441-TBA-A01ZA $98.73

Would these same parts work on the LX-P coupe? Also, I see the individual door panel pieces listed on there for $19. Would those be direct replacements for the stock cloth armrests?

Not hard at all. First I used a paper to make the shapes and bends. Then I cut it out for a template. I check to ensure the template was a good fit and make any adjustments before cutting the carbon fiber. Looks good to me. I also covered the passenger airbag warning light.

It's pretty expensive. One door panel is $120 and the other is $150.

Probably better to wrap those yourself. Honestly, My elbows rarely touch the door armrests anyway.
You do not need to buy the entire door panel in order to get the leather arm rest on the doors. Just buy the leather arm rests, remove the door panels, and unscrew the cloth arm rest. On the '16 coupe, there are 5 screws on the backside of the arm rest that need to be removed.
