Agree with the above. After 50-75K hwy miles, the nose looks completely sandblasted. No amount of touch up will prevent that.

Understood. I'm a low mileage smaller town boy. It takes me 7 years to put on 75K.

are you guys getting the clear bra for your civic?
I think it's a must. i am def. getting one for sure.
Worth the money if you plant to keep the car for a long time. Especially if your car is a darker color. I'd just do the front though. No need for full car. Not like the car has large rear flared quarter panel that can get dinged up.

Get a good brand of film and it'll hold up well and not yellow.

I was pretty sure I was going to put some film on the front but since I'm getting white I am now reconsidering.

I have 152K on white. Remember the front bumper is black underneath the paint/primer. It will show over time. Or at very minimum get dull.

Is it worth getting a clear bra like XPEL on a white car that will see very low mileage during the course of the year (7500 miles a year), with very little hwy usage? I do plan to keep the car for 8-10 years though.

Probably not. I ended up cancelling the order as it is getting too cold to apply the clear bra myself. The past few days I have been walking around looking at the fronts of every car I could see. Didn't notice a lot of marks. I guess our last car was bad because the hood was repainted after an accident and the paint was soft for a while. I will hold off and even then may not do it since my car is also white. I'm worried about yellowing, hazing, and cracking of the clear bra.

Let us know how it goes. I'd imagine the hood would have to be absolutely spotless/speckless for this to be done right.
I ended up canceling the order. After speaking with them they I decided that it's too cold right now since my garage isn't heated. I'm torn about whether to do it at all, there is a lot of conflicting information about yellowing, cracking, and peeling down the line.

The problem is that a refresh begins to chip the moment it's driven off the lot. Within 20K it's an eyesore again.

That said, some shops are better than others. YMMV.
This. Also, since white orchid pearl is so metallic, the repainted bumper may not match the rest of the car perfectly in certain lighting and angles, since it wasn't painted at the same time as the rest of the car.

Or it may match well. Some paints are easy to match, some aren't. Unfortunately won't know until you do it.
