How much insurance are you paying for the car?

Full coverage with $500 deductible in Mississauga area I am paying $206 with the cooperators. I know it varies on your driving history and the area you reside. I have license is 8 years with one minor conviction and no claim. Please share yours, it will help deciding whether to switch insurance company at renewal.

Been driving for almost 20 years, full coverage, $500, etc. . After all the discounts like Union, Winters, etc.

I'm paying $156 for my 2015 Nissan Murano SL AWD. It actually went up recent with my renewal by $13. :(

What can you do and yes I've shopped around and Allstate is the lowest only because of the Union discount.

Interestingly enough I inquired about my 2017 Sport Touring Hatchback and I was told it'll be cheaper IIRC it'll go down to $136 once it gets delivered in January.

I'm from London area, so I understand its not quite the same as Toronto. I'm 22, and have found belaire direct and cooperators to be the cheapest. Cooperators quoted me at about 180/mo, and belaire at 145 per month. That is being previously insured, licensed for 6 years, no claims, and no tickets in the past three years. Be sure to check them out.

2017 Civic Hatchback
I recently got a '17 Hatchback living in Toronto. Spent quite a lot of time shopping around since I have 1 at-fault accident and 1 minor speeding conviction. Here's a bit of history from my shopping experience.

Discounts:
  • Vehicle AND tenant package - some places might give larger discounts. I believe TD gives 10%-15% while RBC does about 5% I think
  • Winter tires
  • University Alumni if applicable: only some companies do this (TD Meloche Monnex)

Here's some of the quote I received - annual (excluding tenant price). Full coverage with $1000 deductible:
  • TD Insurance Meloche Monnex: $2600
  • Cooperators: $3100
  • Intact: $5300
  • Bell-air: $7200.......
  • RBC Insurance: $2400
Ended up choosing RBC Insurance for obvious reasons. Surprisingly enough, the insurance on the hatchback is actually cheaper than sedan. Those are just some places I called, but RBC was by far the cheapest.

Guess I've been a good boy for a few years. I'm paying $893 ($74.42 month) for my Civic Touring Sedan. Our HRV EXL/w.nav is at $1,004. Both with Intact, $500 deductible etc. etc. Been with the same agent now for 48 years.

We pay for both vehicles and our home insurance all at once at the beginning of the year. They like that.

In mississauga with Allstate. I'm 22 and my sedan is under my mom's name. She's primary and I'm secondary. Since she has such a good driving record with no accident/tickets in 25+ years, her portion of the insurance is pretty much about 98$ a month. Im secondary and under her, I'm paying about 60$ a month. So basically I pay for the whole thing since it's practically nothing. Without her as primary and me being under 25 driving a civic, they quoted me 500-700$ a month which is crazy.

31, 2016 LX Sedan, State Farm, 20,000kms/yr, 1 minor conviction, 15% loyalty discount = $1640/yr or $136/mo. Winter tires and garage parking helped bring it down too.
