DIY: Interior / Trunk Light bulb change/upgrade

I ordered some cheapies from eBay, put them in my map/dome/trunk, and they work pretty good. Not as bright as filament, but they're ok. Plus, they didn't cost but $3 for a pack. If they don't last long, that's ok, I'll just put filaments back in.

Nvm just read a different thread saying bulb is soldered in to circuit board??

Just remove the cover and use a needle nose to pull the bulb out and replace it with LED. T10 LED bulbs are the ones that I use.

I removed the trunk lid lining (not all of it, just enough so I could get to the bulb. Disregard my previous post, that was on my Acura TLX and the last 4 cars I had. I forgot that the CIVIC was different. Those clips are the one to use a flat head screwdriver and pop the top. Once the top is popped, you can grab and take the clips out.

Happy with the outcome....

What's the difference between each? Sorry I'm completely clueless to this.

Hello guys. I am having a real hard time doing the exchange on the trunk I cant seem to get that thing off and I am afraid of breaking it. I did my side markers and all the interior.... but DAAAAAMMMM the freaking trunk... I was freezing my butt outside for a while and I am plainly frustrated now. Any suggestions? I can push it out like a quarter and then nothing. I tried pulling and I kinda scratched around the housing area. I dont wanna go beast mode on that housing.

HELP! Please. Hahahaha.

I had to give up cuz its mad windy and feels like -9 C brrrrrrr

Yes. Like it comes out a bit... then i tried pulling down or doing some leverage but it didnt work. I tried some brute force and all that but nothing. It has like some clips from the inside. I was there for a while. I followed the instructions for the rest of the lights and i had no issues. Also did my sidemarkers and all but this one... I cant LOL.

NVM I got it. Forgot to take pictures. You pull out a bit then horizontally you press the clip like inwards and pull down. I thought that you had to push the pin up, in order for it to open. Hope I make sense. I got frustrated quickly the other day because I was freezing my butt. LOL
