You just inspired me to do the same ;) except I didn't have goo-gone and my fingernails are screwed now. Took me about an hour but so worth it!!!!
Very nice and clean! One of the steps in removing emblems and badges should be. "Grow your thumb nail for a week" haha

Really clean mod fellas! Makes even more difference by getting rid of that Touring badge. As for the 'H'onda badge, it wouldn't take too much work to turn it into an 'X' ...I rather like the style of that X in the CivicX :) That'll REALLY confuse 'em.

Use dental floss or fishing line to remove the emblem and GooGone to remove the sticky leftover. Then clean the GooGone off with a window cleaner. Then wax the area. Done. But IMO the Civic logo looks good because it curves with the body. The straight Touring logo does look bad because it straight on a curved body line. I think #1 should have added an Oem Si logo to balance out the rear. Oem sized Silver or Black iVtec logos on side and an Si logo on the front... make it look like a stock Si... ;)

Not too much of a fan of the Civic emblem that came on the car. IMO it just makes the trunk look unbalanced. I'm picky and super detailed like that. So I removed the CIVIC and IMO it looks way cleaner.

How about a contrarian view... What about leaving the badge and adding an ...X much like the name of this forum?

Now that'd be different. Use the X from the site's logo and it'd look good and familiar. You'd know who's a fellow forum member from just that. :)

I'm sure many will like that look. As for me I like it all shaven clean. If the H didn't have two holes to mount it and if it was all flush, I'd remove it too. It's not that I want to hide the car I drive, I just like a clean look. Someone who likes the X should do it and post pictures..I think the X would have to be a different font and stand out a little to make it look nice.

Agreed... The "X" in the logo of this forum could work, or perhaps a variation of the infamous "Red X" from the comic book character.

I have debadged mine, a plastic scraper on a 55 degree day made quick and easy work of the lettering on the back.

Virtually no sticky tape left on to get off.

Took less than 5 minutes!

Looks sweeter every day!
