Is the new Honda Civic Type R as fast as it looks? We see if it goes quicker round the track than a BMW M3 and Audi RS3. Believe us - this FWD vs RWD vs AWD track battle is not to be missed!

I think you'll all like the results :)

Damn David takes down Goliath!

Tight track favors smaller and lighter car tho. Even still that's reallly impressive! I bet the Type R also fees more fun since it's smaller+lighter than the M3.

That was awesome I bet the M3 owners on BMW forums are making all kinds of excuses :D Thank god they're finally bringing the TypeR to US!

The next gen Type R is going to be even lighter and more powerful. Wow what a beast its gonna be I can't wait to see the humble pie served to all these people talking crap about FWD etc.

I have to say, on paper, FWD does seem like the least performance-oriented setup. Yet the CTR continues to amaze me.

If my next car some years down the line isn't rear or all wheel drive, it'll be a Civic for sure (preferably a Type R of course!).

Well with the released Nurburgring time this should come not come as TOO much of a surprise. The Type R doesn't get the respect it deserves, I'm hoping that changes with the Civic X.

CTR continues to amaze me, anything that made everything nice and steady
Yea this thing beats cars tens of thousands more expensive around both long (Nurbrugring) and short tracks like this one. So there's little excuses those other cars can make :) Can't wait to see how it's gonna look with the X gen body too!

Any predictions for how much faster then Civic X Type-R will be faster around the Ring than the current model?

Good win.

The M3 is not what it used to be. It's starting to become more of a grand touring type of sedan. Even the next Civic is getting larger, I wonder when cars will stop growing in size every generation.
