edit: look like Foust took the final in a VW. Dude can drive. The Civics came 2nd and 3rd.

I follow VW on facebook and they were posting pictures of their cars. In almost every shot the civic were right on their heels, so not surprising VW ended up in 1st. Great to here the civics took the next 2 spots though. Probably all came down to driver skill.

The qualifying heats had one of the civics so far ahead in 1st, the camera barely covered him in the two runs I saw. Then Foust got out in front for the final, and driver skill came into play. Based on the car alone, the civics were faster than anything out there. I think a slightly longer wheelbase than most hot hatches it was racing against gave it an edge in stability, and acceleration, but not rotation.

Anyone see this? What do you all think? Crazy numbers on the 0-60 time and the fact that they swapped in an awd system. I love the styling and custom wing on this car...









Here is a little breakdown by "Engineering Explained"

Saw that one on TV yesterday. I bet it's a blast to drive.

It also gets a lot of screen time in the Project Cars 2 Trailer. As cool as it is, I didn't think it'd receive so much attention to show off Project Cars 2 of all things. Pretty cool
