Shouldve taken a pic but Ive seen 2 civics recently and its like a hairpin painted strip design

Its subtle

Like its literally just a horizontal line or two on left side of car and right side of car

My car doesn't have this

But i saw another car same color but it does

Also once i saw a civic with like rubber bumper guards on each side. Is that an option?

What are these things calles

Are pinstripes not an option? How do people get them? Are they all aftermarket/bootleg?
Mine was dealer installed and was already on the car. Its like tint. Unofficial option. I'm sure plenty of shops can do them also. It gives character to the car and looks nice. I saw a cosmic blue car with them and just had to have it.

I didn't want to say anything at first because I wasn't sure it was something as simple as pinstripes but that seems to be the consesus here. If I could offer any advice to the OP: refuse the $500 surcharge for what amounts to 50 cents in vinyl tape.

Exactly. You can always negotiate down the dealer added options. My EX-T had 3k in dealer added options. Tint, pinstripe, mudflaps, all weather mats, all weather tray, nitro-fill, the protector paint protection, etc.. They overcharge like crazy for these items. Got it for 22,500.

I'm not really a fan of the pinstripes. When buying cars, I explicitly request the dealer not to stick on pinstripes or dealer advertisement decals/badges on the car.

I made them take off their dealer logo on mine. They're not paying me to advertise for them so off it goes. Looks much better without it.

Oh same here. They had a big advertising strip across the top of the back window and it wasn't even straight. I had them remove that and they even offered to remove the licence plate frame at the same time. The Nissan dealer here will give free oil changes with Mobile One for as long as you have their window strip, regardless of car brand. That's fair at least.

Mine had really thin black pinstripes already on it when I bought it. I feel like it can depend on the car and the colors as to their appeal. I decided to keep mine because I felt like it added to the white/black contrast to my car and I feel like it showcases the shape of the car well especially around back quarter panel area where the body widens around the wheel which I think is a really cool part of the car. That spot is hard to see in some of the photos. I've said this before but seeing this car in person makes all the difference. If your one of the people here curious about it do yourself a favor and go look at one in person or better yet test drive one.
