Alright here we go another update on Sumi! And yet again another hood up and idk when this one will be fixed…

first up we have the fog light vents I’m working on I’ve cut sanded and molded these a lot to fit the bumper I still need to do the other side but so far one is almost done

next is another decal added

then new tires! Falken azenis 660s 195/60/14 they look great on the car!

then the form and function coilovers and damn these things sit low! From our rough measurements we might be at a 4” drop from how ever the old owner set it up

then we have the bad news! The rear upper control and and rear lower shock bushing are toast

the upper arm bolt snapped off and well part of it is stuck

the shock bushing is very much stuck on the bolt so we either have to cut it out or just play with it but since we already had one failure for fj e day we gave up for now

and ya that’s it another weekend and another setback and sitting on jack stands

Damn! Take the good with the bad, I guess. Nice tires, though, and those coils will be amazing once everything is back together, I’m sure.

Nothing new for either of my cars today I went and helped a friend pick up this 81 Tercel hatcback (he has a wagon and a coupe and has wanted a hatch) so we drove 3 hours out to get it and drove 3 hours back at 65mph and got 9mpg in my truck haha I had to keep dropping the truck into 4th to get up hills the auto would search for gears to much in drive

had to edit the mpg it wasnt right lol

so for the shock being stuck in the lower control arm im just gonna order new arms its cheaper to put two new oem arms on then trying to hunt for bushings so ill do that now the broken bolt ya idk i need my angle grinder to try and get it out but currently my dad still has it

Absolutely not. Red is on the bottom of the totem pole of colors for me on 99.9% of vehicles
