Well, in my case after some research and better thinking I cancelled the xdi order and got me a hondata fuel system upgrade this was the best decision ever. I am now running E45 on a redstarmotoring tune the car feels amazing duty cycle is about 75% on average. It was just not feasible at this time to buy just the pump and continue to piece it together when we have a whole system option out there. So far I am very impressed with the power gains from e25 on stock system and e45 with the upgrade. I hope to have the car on a dyno soon

Looking forward to seeing a dyno sheet.

Got some feedback to report as I got tuned last night. FBO with catted downpipe & Flex Fuel.

On e48~ we made 363-378/407-411.

Pump duty around 83%, injector duty around 45%, 25 lbs boost. We kept this tune somewhat conservative as I regularly track the car for 20 min sessions, so longevity & consistency were primary concerns over sheer numbers.

Overall, very happy with the results and this shows the pump has a lot more room to go.

363-378 seems low. Drob consistently sees those numbers on 93 tunes all the time, on the same style dyno...

The better way to look at it is to see what you were making before the pump compared to now. id say.

Before the pump was 344/367 on e25 at 24lbs, stock downpipe.

Could we have made more power? Probably.
Did we need to? Not really.

It's a track car so sheer numbers were not the priority. Smooth graphs, consistent power, and no spikes are more important. The dotted line on the graph was previous tune.

I've seen his datalogs. His tuner opted to not use all the power the turbo can offer by redline, resulting in a pretty good tune that won't put out much heat at all but still has plenty of power on tap. Perfect for the track. We're still figuring out the best fuel pressures to use on the XDI as well, so that may be a factor. But overall a good tune nonetheless.

Nice. Id say you got what you wanted out of it then especially if theres still power on the table that you opted to not use.

For those who have the xdi pump installed and running what year is your car? Reason being I got a 2018 Fk8 and was told it maybe a software problem thru hondata for 2018’s but I know people who have it installed on their 2018. Just trying to isolate the problem whether it’s a faulty xdi pump or actual software thru hondata.

I'm really interested to know if you altered the fuel line. Did you just add the XDI pump with the flex fuel kit? My goal is to run in the e40 range at the track this year, with a very similar power output and curve setup. That's all I really want, the ability to actually make use of the flex kit.

Running this on my 2019. No issues thus far.

I did not modify the fuel line at all. Just the XDI pump and Flex Fuel kit.

That's awesome! Any concerns with flow/bottlenecking?

Just to clarify. So you have this pump and you are running into issues getting it to work on your 2018?

Yes I installed and everything got p0087 code low fuel pressure. Contacted xdi the owner came to my house re installed twice said mechanically the pump works and then says it has to be a software problem thru hondata.
