Interesting trade idea...

I just put my 2009 e90 M3 in the garage for the winter and I miss her already.

I have toyed with the idea of selling the M3 and getting a Type R, but I decided that I just love my M3 too much.

Instead, I leased a 2018 Civic Si to use as my winter car. Not a Type R, but still a fun winter car at a reasonable price.

Assuming the trade doesn't happen, you shouldn't have any issues selling your M3 privately. I would post it over at a dedicated BMW site (such as M3post.com).

Best of luck.

George
Since depreciation hit, the m3s are still selling for $32k ish with low miles. I might just hold off and see what Subaru is bringing in 2020. I initially thought the type r will be rare, but they had it in production for 2017-2019 . I wished they only made it for a year or so.

I still prefer my spartan e46 and my CTR. But if I'm changing car it will be the new M2C. Or a used N55 M2 . Turbo/Supercharger is a must up on the canyons .
