just wanted to share and my thoughts on anybody who wants to run or currently have aftermarket steering wheels and want to retain the instrument panel and cruise control buttons.

this is specific for the FK8 and so far Nengun and RHDjapan have them (ordered from RHDjapan which currently have them instock). this is a supporting part so you still need the boss kit 226.

WB-SRD-B1S short type = if you want to use any QD type mount.

WB-SRD-B1 standard type = for non QD type mounting.

as Works Bell, quality is great only thing is the brackets that hold the buttons are 3d printed so make sure not to over tighten the screws.

installation is pretty easy and comes with everything plus the buttons and the oem harness.

only thing that i noticed is the location. i’m 6”3 and at first thought i will be hitting it with my knee everytime i go thru the pedals but after a test drive it was all good and the brackets are adjustable fore and aft.

my other option before was to get the Seeker steering wheel with its built in bracket for the buttons but found out its pretty difficult to order and compare to the Works bell you can have a variety of steering wheels.

its good overall and i think the only negative for some is its price. another $300 on top of the other parts.

Looks good!

Im probably gonna order this over the winter.

When you say additional to the other parts, do you mean works bell hub (226 or 226S) and either works bell quick release or tilt release?

Yes, please elaborate on all parts needed. I’ve never owned a quick release wheel.

What’s up y’all..
I installed the same kit in my car, minus the quick release , I used a regular hub
I know you need the relocation control kit and the hub, which I got, but I wasn’t able to use the hub complete. I dint know if it makes sense but the steering wheel is too close to the stalks and now every time I turn the wheel I either hit the wiper stalk or the turn signal stalk!
We couldn’t figure out how to make it work ..
I’m no attaching a couple pics so you can maybe can see what im trying to say!
The last pic shows the parts that I didn’t use!

@typertimo

you could try a hub spacer... or a quick release? i have the works bell gtc tilt and it pushes the wheel out a good 4-5 inches (approx).

also i'd hop on the 10th gen FB group for this one. carlos calvillo would be the one to talk to. good luck

there’s 2 versions of the SRD and from what i see you’ve got the one that is for a quick release setup. you can try a spacer in between the SRD and steering wheel and see if you’ll have clearance.

you can try this and adjust the button brackets on the SRD more towards the wheel.

although strage-ish placement for the controls, this looks SO much better than the Seeker kit imo

^ Agree. It looks cool but kinda awkward having to reach behind the wheel to use the controls.

I rather relocate the controls but I'm not electrical inclined LOL.

The Seeker retains OE positioning however the SRD looks nicer, guess it's all about preference

are you getting any srs/airbag lights coming on?
the 226s only comes with one set of resistors, which one do you plug it into?
