1.5T With a CVT, it's said to not apply high torque at the low end. At what RPM is no longer considered "low end"?

Basically I'm asking if not from a dead stop, what RPM is safe to WOT? We cruise at like 1500 RPM so once we hit 1500-2000, we're good to go WOT without damaging the CVT long term? Specifically I'm using the Ktuner 21psi map with quick adjustments.

From my observation on ots tunes, Hondata and KTuner tunes are conservative in terms of tuning boost at RPM ranging from 550 - 2750 RPM and start ramping up 3000 RPM and up.

I assume low RPM range should be 550 - 2750 RPM, Mid RPM 3000 - 4500 RPM, and high RPM 5000 - 6500 RPM (redline).

This is my own understanding and I would love to know the answer to this question as well.

When they talk about too much low end torque and the CVT, it's not about when you can and can't floor it. You're welcome to floor it from a standing start as long as you aren't brake launching it. But honestly, I think the CVT works better from a rolling start.

When tuners design tunes for the CVT, I believe they generally keep torque somewhat lower at the 3500 rpm torque peak (compared to a manual) as a way to protect the CVT.

You also can use boost by gear and lower the psi in "1st" as another safegaurd for the CVT.
