Hello all! I purchased rear led sequential bumper reflector lights and I have a question about wiring. I bought quick splices and never used them. I'm new to quick splices, so please bear with me here. The quick splices are 16-14 gauge. The reason I was so hesitant, is because I was afraid that I might slice completely through the wire (I know, it sounds stupid) and the wires are pretty thin. I'm not sure if that's the correct gauge or I should be using something else. I also plan on using some automotive wiring cloth tape or electrical tape to secure and cover the quick splices. Any suggestions? Thank you!

I used lever nuts and prefer them for all my projects. Other people use wire splices but I definitely don't prefer those.
