The OEM blades are probably fine so I don't feel any need to replace them. However, Honda only has crude rubber refills afaik, and they are not cheap for the refills.
A regular rubber refill should cost no more than $2.99.

If I ever replace the OEM blades I will not use any brand that doesn't offer silicone rubber inserts. Silicone rubber is just superior to anything else but is not commonly offered in stores today, apparently because it lasts too long.

Silicone rubber inserts can be bought for $12. I wonder if these would fit directly in the civic wiper blades.

I live in New York and replaced the OEM wipers with Rain-X Latitude after one year. I thought the Rain-X Latitudes would last longer than a year, but they began to streak at about 10 months. I even cleaned the blades with denatured alcohol to see if it would improve--NOPE.

I just ordered a new set of Bosch Icons, which I will put on in December 2018 and will report the results.

I tried giving OEMs a chance but they suck so swapped them out for bosch icons. I had these on my old tl and current cr-v and they are great compared to oem POS

I would only get aftermarket ones after your first set. The OEM ones are junk and barely last 3 months.

Months ? How much mileage ?

Update;

Mine last 5 months with 18,000 kms. Car stay in full sunshine all the very hot summer in Quebec. Rubber may dry faster ?
My wife car; wiper are 2 two years old ....with 20,000km , car is alway park in a garage.

I put a new set of OEM.
They work fine.
My only complain is when the car is at idle on a stop, I can hear a light " thumb" at the at the end of the course changing direction.
I hear nothing when driving.

Why they are great ?
What they do better than original Civic wipers ?
my OEM wipers would wobble when wiping and started streaking in about 3 months.
The Bosch Icons lasts forever. A quick wipe with alcohol on the blades would clear any streaking it has.

Mine would thump too. Try compounding the area where it turns over. I got rid of the thump by doing that
