I slacked off a couple years back and had my EP3 with summer tires the day we started getting a light snow. I didn't really have to drive anywhere except around the block so I could put the car in the garage and switch to my winter tires.A recommended snow tire is Michelin Alpine PA4.
There are many out there, but the most important is... the driver's way of driving: Speed, braking, timing on turns

That was the slowest, SKETCHIEST drive around the block I've ever done. Barely had any traction, took turns at 5 mph and still felt floaty. My heart was racing by the time I got into my driveway.
Now I make sure to switch wheels when the high temps drop below 50F for the season. Not gonna risk being out-of-state with the wrong tires.
I got Pirelli SottoZero something-or-others in 215/55-16 on steelies for my FK7. On my EP, I had Dunlop Winter Sports. Both have been solid performers. The Pirellis got us home through the big Midwestern snowstorm after Christmas last year. What tires did you end up getting? I just got a 2018 HB EX, so rolling on stock and winter is coming in WA.
Hmm, they actually look kinda futuristic like the car itself. Do you remember the specs, especially rim width?I didn't see any oem 15" alloys here so I found a set of used hybrid wheels from junkyard. $45 each. I knew offset, bore, bolt dia are right on, but test fitted them anyway for brake clearance. Then I got set of Michelin x-ice 205/65R15 from BJ's $320 installed. Total $500. The best part, not only cost-effective but each wheel weighs 14lbs., OEM fit stock nuts, and cosmetically theft-proof
06-11 Civic Hybrid OEM alloys are 15x6...know what you mean about steelies...but if i can find oem alloys for less cost than the steelies, why not?Hmm, they actually look kinda futuristic like the car itself. Do you remember the specs, especially rim width?
I like my steelies from a functional standpoint, but I never really liked how they look...
Exactly my approach, is the 8th Gen Civic wheel completely compatible with 10?06-11 Civic Hybrid OEM alloys are 15x6...know what you mean about steelies...but if i can find oem alloys for less cost than the steelies, why not?
Yes. offset, center bore, bolt pattern all the same. because the 15" wasnt spec'd for USDM 10th Gen but is for EUDM, I was confident they would fit and confirmed with test fit before shelling out for tires. the 16" and 17" oem alloys from 8th Gen should fit no problem.Exactly my approach, is the 8th Gen Civic wheel completely compatible with 10?
