Windshield black dots

So after reading this post. And driving my vehicle today. The "black dots" are INSIDE the glass on my Civic Si.....

I'm driving a '19 Si Coupe, and I don't know if it is the same as your windshield ... but the black dots on mine are laminated inside the glass.
The interior surface of my windshield is smooth as glass. (pun intended)

I wonder if our Si's utilize a different windshield, since our cars aren't offered with the Sensing package of electronic nannies?

The black dots on my '18 EX-L sedan are on the interior surface of the glass & you can feel them.
