I want to run ethanol again but want to know if the injectors gum up with cheap gas like ARCO as opposed to other gas like Shell or Chevron. We only have 91 and E85 here.

Nope. Arco is Top-Tier gasoline. Just like Chevron, Shell etc. The difference between Chevron and Arco is .30 to .40 cents a gallon

Nope I don't think it matters because at the end of the day the ethanol will clean the injectors and plus Arco claims to be top tier

so the ethanol gumming up injectors is a myth? i hope so because I wanna run E35 on tsp stage 2 but keep it on map 2 because I don’t have my stage 3 clutch back on yet. Keeping the stock intake on for better fuel trims.[/QUOTE]

Big time, ethanol is known for being a clean burning fuel. It's also a good cleaning solvent. Ethanol burns cooler and more efficient therefore leaving less carbon build up.

No it will not gum up your injectors. It is a strong solvent. In fact some say it eats away at seals and rubber parts if ethanol content is too high

It does eat seals but more like fuel system wise though, ethanol is really crazy man lol it's pretty much moonshin. Newer cars have a better fuel system, they have to be compatible for gas that contains ethanol so we good. On older cars you'll have to upgrade fuel lines to run ethanol. Also it does break the oil down. I plan to run QSUD 5w-30 when I go flex fuel

Yeah it does break down the oil so you’ll have to either change it more often or go with a better oil like torco. I use full synthetic and change it every 3k miles.

Although what everybody is saying about Ethanol is true, when ethanol gets old and sits in a tank too long it turns solid. Like a clear goo.
